Go to the ring at Royal Ascot with £100 and they tell you to go buy some sweets sonny £21 also a strange number. Why £21?

Although Hancock proved us wrong for many a year. The young Poles will always be amongst it. I’m thinking Emil or Freddy, if they remain injury free.

I know that Hancock, especially, disproved the age thing somewhat but I don't see a 41 year old winning it who has questions to answer over a long series. If Doyle is still hungry and the pressure doesn't get to him then I think that he'll retain it. It's a tough ask though with only Rickardson (twice) and Pedersen being consecutive series winners, with the latter being 10 years ago, so the odds are against it.

JD is a racer, who has no fear despite what he has been through. This can often result in trouble - big off in Poland last week, very fortunate no serious damage. If he stays injury free I expect he will be a serious contender. Crap odds though.

Well nitronicki has looked a different rider in poland just couldn't resist opening a boylesports account to get 40/1 for world champ wanted a 100 on the joke of a firm would only let me have 21 quid on Looks like he'll be playing catch up anyway so they probably saved you a few quid: In-form triple world champion Nicki Pedersen has suffered a cruel blow on the eve of his FIM Speedway Grand Prix comeback after suffering a fractured bone in his right hand in Gorzow (Sun 29).The Dane is back in the saddle after nearly 11 months out with a neck injury, but he was involved in a high-speed spill with SGP rival Bartosz Zmarzlik in heat 15, which saw the Pole excluded. Pedersen was taken to hospital for precautionary checks on his neck, having suffered fractures to the same vertebra in September 2016 and May 2017. While that remains sore, he was given the all-clear. But X-rays discovered a fracture to the pisiform bone in his right hand – situated where the palm of the hand meets the wrist. It’s unclear how long Pedersen will be sidelined at this stage with just 12 days to go until the World Championship season-opening BOLL Warsaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland. Posting on Facebook, Pedersen’s team confirmed: “Luckily for Nicki there is no new fracture on the neck... It’s just very sore. But Nicki got a fractured bone in the right hand called ‘pisiform’. We will update you all when there is further information.” The news comes just as Pedersen was returning to top form, having scored 56 paid 58 points in just four PGE Ekstraliga matches for Tarnow. sgp
