Not unless the Manchester club have suddenly come into some serious cash. bloody noorah they've signed zagar how many fixtures will he do 10 Rather convenient this week. Does that close the Batchelor door. Is Harkess breathing easily now. orion (BSF) sees Zagar as the Slovenian Zabik Jason Attwood will usually be busy on the phone on Monday morning on racedays in 2013
BELLE Vue's new signing Matej Zagar has made it clear he wants to be the Aces’ No 1 when they go into their planned new stadium next year. Zagar’s first priority, though, is to head an Elite League revival this year. Swindon-based Steve Warner, his main sponsor, said: “Matty is really excited to have the chance of returning to race in the Elite League. “It is a big year for him because he’s coming back to race here and he has won his way back into the Grand Prix. “He wants to make the point that he is very grateful to Chris Morton who has put in so much hard work to make this possible. Chris has gone the extra mile to get him to Belle Vue. “Matty is looking forward to joining a famous club with a great tradition. Not only does he want to help the Aces on their way back to the top but he also wants to be their No 1 when they go into the new stadium next year if that is possible. “He is a rider who is very confident in his ability and now he’s in the position he needs to be in order to get to the top in the speedway world which is where he thinks he ought to belong. “Matty is an awesome talent who always does a good job in England and I am delighted to see him back.” belle vue web

Have it on good authority that Zagar is ok when things are going well but a complete pain in the rear end when it isnt. To be fair to BV I am pleased they have got someone for the No 1 position but how many matches he misses will be interesting because he wasnt that reliable for Eastbourne was he.

According to the BSPA website the Aces have signed Worrall on a full transfer - surprised as I expected to see him announced as a Pirate or a Robin!
BELLE Vue have signed rising England star Richie Worrall who suddenly came on the market after his transfer to Elite League rivals Lakeside fell through. The Rentruck Aces have agreed a deal with Scunthorpe to sign the 21-year-old former moto cross star on a full transfer.
Worrall made no secret of the fact in talks that he wants to be part of the side that takes the club into the new stadium.
He qualified for the World Under 21 final last season, only to be forced out by a double leg fracture at the end of June.
The signing of a quality young rider, who is both English and local, is a feather in the cap of new promoter George Carswell.
He said: “I received a call to tell me there was a problem over his contract at Lakeside. I have a lot of respect for Lakeside and promoter Jon Cook so we had a management discussion and we approached Jon out of courtesy to see what the situation was.
"It was an opportunity we couldn’t miss and we have worked very hard over the last three days to make it happen. I’m well pleased that we didn’t waste time to secure a fine rider.”
Worrall already had a deal to ride for Premier League Newcastle but what happens now in terms of an Elite League club remains to be seen because the Aces already have a full team.
He will ride at Newcastle’s Press and Practice day on Monday when the Aces are holding theirs at Kirkmanshulme Lane. But he hopes to attend a Meet the Riders function with fans in the evening when there will be a hotpot supper (6 30).

Unfortunately tonight’s Elite League Meeting scheduled to take place at Belle Vue was postponed by the Belle Vue Promotion at 3-20pm this afternoon.
Subsequent to the early afternoon postponement of this Meeting it was widely queried by Riders, Officials and Spectators, by various means, with the Speedway Control Bureau.
Due to the nature of the comments made, the SCB’s Manager, Graham Reeve deemed it appropriate for a local Referee to visit the Stadium to make an Inspection.
Arrangements were quickly made and Darren Hartley arrived at the Stadium just before 5pm to make the said inspection.
Now at this stage based upon substantial photographic evidence in the SCB’s possession and statements already made makes it wholly appropriate for a full investigation to be made concerning this postponement with a view to holding an SCB Disciplinary Tribunal in the very near future.
All persons involved or affected will be asked to make a Statement and these, together with other evidence will determine if an SCB Tribunal is necessary.
In the meantime The Speedway Control Bureau would like to express their apologies to fans and others who may not have heard the news of the postponement and on a mild, sunny Manchester evening turned up to find the Meeting postponed.

A 3-point deduction for Belle Vue, £5,000 fine and being banned from calling off meetings without SCB approval BV considering their position pending an appeal apparently. Hopefully the fine will be doubled and Poole are given 3 points without a restaging, that'd speed up their thought process:
THE Speedway Control Bureau has issued a statement regarding the postponed Belle Vue v Poole Elite League match on Monday, April 29. The SCB Disciplinary Hearing: Tuesday 14th May 2013. Sky Sports Elite League: Belle Vue v Poole (29th April 2013) Following the early afternoon postponement of the Speedway Meeting scheduled for Monday 29th April at Belle Vue versus Poole the SCB Launched an immediate inquiry. The findings of this enquiry and subsequently admission by the Belle Vue Promotion led to a Disciplinary Hearing being held yesterday at the offices of the Auto Cycle Union in Rugby. The SCB Members afforded Messrs Gordon & Morton the opportunity to address them before deliberating on the disciplinary outcome. The SCB Members took into account many factors before laying down the following: - The Meeting between Belle Vue and Poole is to be re-staged
- Belle Vue Speedway were fined £5000
- Belle Vue will have 3 League Points deducted
- Until the end of the 2014 Season Belle Vue will not be permitted to cancel a Meeting without an SCB Referee or an SCB nominee making an inspection and authorising a cancellationThe SCB decided that the Club responsible should receive a penalty, but that no other club should benefit. Furthermore the SCB believes this will give the public confidence for the future. Belle Vue were informed of the SCB findings by mail this morning and now have to digest the decisions. Belle Vue have the opportunity to appeal to the Auto Cycle Union should they so wish. Issued: Wednesday, 15 May 2013 by the SCB

Well, a post on the Belle Vue thread is as rare as rocking horse droppings, which is ironic because they've just turned over the team that spawned that phrase. Anyone interested will I'm sure be cheering for the Aces when they take on that lot from Dorset in the final: Swindon Robins = 43 (79) 1. Troy Batchelor 0, R, R = 0 - what happened to Batchelor 2. Aaron Summers 2, 1*, 2, 2 = 7+1 3. Grzegorz Zengota 0, 1, 2*, 3, 3 = 9+1 4. Peter Kildemand 2, F, 3, F = 5 5. Nick Morris 2, 3, 3, 3, F = 11 6. Charles Wright 3, 2, 1*, 1*, 1 = 8+2 7. Lewis Rose 0, 1*, R, 2 = 3+1 Belle Vue Aces = 47 (97) 1. Andreas Jonsson (G) 3, 3, R, 2 = 8 2. Max Fricke 1, 3, 2, 1 = 7 3. Josh Grajczonek 3, 1*, 1, 1*, 2 = 8+2 4. Scott Nicholls 3, 2, 3, 2, 1* = 11+1 5. Craig Cook 1, 2*, 3, 0 = 6+1 6. Steve Worrall 2, 0, 1*, 3 = 6+1 7. Stefan Nielsen 1*, 0, F, 0 = 1+1 Read more: speedwayupdates/swindon-belle-vue-elpos 21/9/15

Slovenian international Matej Zagar leads Elite League runners-up Belle Vue into their exciting new era in 2016.
The world No.6, who’s already confirmed for Gorzow in Poland and Smederna in Sweden, flew into Manchester earlier this week to meet with club bosses and finalise his contract.
Whilst in the city he also took the opportunity to visit the site of the National Speedway Stadium, Aces’ stunning new home for 2016, which he described as “an overwhelming place in every aspect.”
The Gorzow SGP winner is determined to make up for an injury-ravaged end to last year, which kept him out of much of Belle Vue’s charge to the Elite League Grand Final.
With another key piece of the puzzle now in situ, along with Craig Cook and Worrall twins Richie and Steve, Aces chief Chris Morton is confident that the club’s remaining potential signings will soon fall into place.
He said: “We’ve had discussions with Matej over the last few weeks. He’s an ambitious rider who is very much looking forward to a fresh new challenge as we move forward into the new stadium.
“When we first brought him to the club and we told him about our plans for the future, it was something that interested him greatly and he’s been watching the progress very closely.
“He visited the site on Monday and was extremely impressed with what he was seeing, and made no secret of his determination to continue his affiliation with us for a fourth successive season.
“The management have developed an excellent relationship with Matej over the last three years and we’re very much looking forward to seeing him back in Belle Vue colours in our new stadium.”

Talk about after the lord mayor's show. Lakeside is the last visiting team that you want turning up. Their only saving grace is AJ but he was AWOL for some reason which is different to what Lakeside's preview reported? "Lakeside will be at full strength for the meeting, with Andreas Jonsson returning to the track where he won a World Cup bronze medal with Sweden on Saturday."
Belle Vue Aces = 63
1. Matej Zagar - 2,3,2*,3 = 10+1 2. Steve Worrall - 1*,3,1,3 = 8+1 3. Danny King (G) - 2*,1,2*,3 = 8+2 4. Scott Nicholls - 0,3,3,2*,1* = 9+2 5. Craig Cook - 3,2*,3,2*,2 = 12+2 6. Richie Worrall - 3,1,3,2* = 9+1 7. Joe Jacobs - 2*,1,1,3 = 7+1
Lakeside Hammers = 29
1. Andreas Jonsson R/R - ( LB-0,RL-2,KN-1,EK-0 = 3 2. Edward Kennett - 3,2,4^,0,0,0 3. Richard Lawson - 0,2,1,1,1,3 = 8 4. Lewis Bridger - 0,3,EF,2,0 = 5 5. Kim Nilsson - 1,0,1,R,1 = 3 6. Robert Mear - 0,0,(LK-0),0,1 = 1 7. Lewis Kerr - 1,2*,0,(RM-0),0 = 3+1

And the fact that no one Lakeside or Belle Vue advertised the fact he was missing shows the utter contempt they have for the supporters, someone remarked he may well have just missed his flight and then got a doctors note. I dare say the time of his flight and the time of issue on his doctors note would solve this but no one really cares other than supporters do they.

EFFECTIVE immediately, the British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) have made the decision to revoke Belle Vue Aces’ (BVA) speedway promotion licence.
The move comes after concerns over the financial management of the Manchester-based club.
At the same time, Manchester City Council have also made the decision to not renew Belle Vue’s licence to occupy the National Speedway Stadium at Belle Vue, Manchester.
Keith Chapman, Chairman of the British Speedway Promoters Association (BSPA), said: "The British Speedway Promoters Association have agreed to recommend to the Speedway Control Bureau that the present Belle Vue Speedway promotion is annulled due to their financial situation and this will take effect in the next few days.
“The Association will oversee Belle Vue Speedway's affairs until a new promotion is established working closely with Manchester City Council and we confirm that Belle Vue Speedway will participate in the Speedway top league in the 2017 season.
“The BSPA would like to thank Manchester City Council for their support and understanding in such difficult times."
Sir Richard Leese, Leader of Manchester City Council, said: “Since taking control of the National Speedway Stadium in March this year, BV Arena Ltd have also failed to meet important requirements of their agreement, including paying any rent on the property to the City Council.
“As a result Manchester City Council therefore are unable to renew Belle Vue Aces licence to occupy the building in their current position. It has also come to light that the group companies have significant debt not only with the Council but also other parties.
“The BSPA and the City Council have been in regular dialogue over the situation and both parties remain absolutely committed to speedway in Manchester, but this must be a long-term and sustainable solution for the club to ensure that Belle Vue Aces continue as the city’s speedway team.
“The City Council will now work closely with the BSPA to put in arrangements that can ensure the success of the National Speedway Stadium and develop speedway in Manchester.
“The Eastlands Trust will take over operations of the £8m National Speedway Stadium in the short term.”
A FULL statement on all decisions made by the BSPA at their AGM will be issued later today (3/11/16)

The British Speedway Promoters Association has confirmed troubled Manchester giants Belle Vue will come to the tapes this year.
The Aces were kicked out of the National Speedway Stadium at the end of last season after failing to pay any rent to Manchester City Council.
Talks have been ongoing for months behind the scenes between the BSPA, local authority and potential new promoters.
Former Aces promoter Gordon Pairman recently ruled himself and his consortium out of the race to take over the Elite League runners-up, but this morning, the BSPA tweeted that the club’s future has been secured.
A post on their @speedwaygb account read: “We are pleased to finally confirm Belle Vue WILL be racing this year. Full details on the new management will be announced soon.”
The Aces must now build a team, despite seven of their rivals having completed their sides, with recently-saved Leicester also yet to announce a rider.
But it is believed Belle Vue favourites Craig Cook, Max Fricke and brothers Richie and Steven Worrall have been reserved for the Aces and are said to be likely starters at Kirkmanshulme Lane this year.

Somewhat confused - so are they back at the dogging track in 2017? No, they are back at the NSS under a new management team. Still to be announced. Gordon Pairman didn't get the gig and appears to be very angry about it.
