Hans Nielsen did it all the time but he could gate. Riders like Barker and Harris are entertaining and I like being entertained. Judging by the opinions of some of his fellow riders he certainly winds a few up - I just haven't yet witnessed it. Harris isn't dirty he is fair ,barker just rides into people if the gaps not there Agree Harris is not a dirty rider but like Barker he usually races the 4 laps. Guess they would prefer to gate but that's why to me they entertain. Barker gets a lot of stick from riders and fans so must be something in it. Nicholls view of the crash appears to back your opinion. My point is I would rather see Barker in the play offs than the overused r/r.

Given the problems in camp for the Brummies and the ongoing discussions re Sky/BTSports(or whoever)Television Contract could the BSPA have a real problem if the Birmingham Club do not run as I understand a league of 10 teams is required.

Panthers to the rescue? The BSPA open door statement was rather tenuous.

Surprised Brum carried on in EL. Appear to be in complete disarray.

Surprised Brum carried on in EL. Appear to be in complete disarray. Well when the AGM finished they had a full team, since then Phil Morris - Team Manager Danny King - Team Captain Joe McLaughlin - Commercial Manager Chris Luty - Co Promoter Have all resigned That leaves Alan Phillips and Graham Drury as the management, now bearing in mind they were struggling financially last year it doesn't take a genius to work out Brum are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. It's also worth noting that Drury is paid to do his job at Perry Barr by Phillips & Luty. I hope Phillips has deep pockets or knows someone like Rick, otherwise we might not be the only EL team from this year who doesn't start in next years top division.

The outcome from the AGM resulted in devaluing the product further. Unfortunately I can only see further reductions in crowd levels. Brum, Swindon and Eastbourne all report financial difficulties as is. Hope they make it through the season, ready for the amalgamation the season after.

Probably looking beyond 2014 season - other EL clubs are struggling financially as we know and there isn't a waiting list of PL clubs desperate to join. If it is 10 clubs needed to keep a television contract, and Panthers can be rescued and run in the PL for a season, their new owners maybe required to be persuaded by the BSPA that it should be El for the club if one of the current lot fall by the way side next year. Under less wealthy ownership I feel we would be more welcome and possibly more likely to do so than many current PL clubs who are unwilling to do so - with good reason I might add!

That is what makes the whole situation so sad IMO - yet those clubs carry on - one with a valuable asset of Panthers in their team again if Troy returns (and did the club ever receive payment for last season's loan? - I have read a lot of speculation about that but unsure). Amalgamation? Was that what came out of the Agm - have I missed something?
