Esbjerg -Denmark Race Off 2

"Danish track Holsted will stage the GP Qualification Semi-Final on August 8 after the initial meeting at Esbjerg was rained off last month."

Danish team Holsted will stage the remaining FIM Speedway Grand Prix qualification semi-final on Thursday, August 8.

The meeting was due to be staged at Esbjerg on June 22, but the FIM Jury was forced to halt the contest after three races as heavy rain left the track unfit for action.

Due to noise restrictions at Esbjerg, their track is unable to restage the meeting, which features the town’s own SGP star Niels-Kristian Iversen and last year’s GP Challenge winner Krzysztof Kasprzak.

So they will battle the likes of Kenneth Bjerre, Przemyslaw and Piotr Pawlicki, Peter Kildemand, Tomas H Jonasson, Edward Kennett and Ales Dryml at Holsted for eight places in the GP Challenge at Poole on August 24, where the top three earn guaranteed SGP spots for 2014.
