Doesn't look as good as the EoES Slovenian rider Aleksander Conda will line up as the Doodson Slovenian FIM Speedway Grand Prix wild card in Krsko on September 7. The 22-year-old makes his full World Championship debut after serving as the track reserve in the 2009 Slovenian SGP at the Matije Gubca Stadium, where he didn’t get the chance to race. The 2008 Slovenian Under-21 champion finished third behind SGP star Matej Zagar and Croatian racer Jurica Pavlic in the four-round joint Slovenian-Croatian Championship this season. Conda, who had a stint with British Premier League side Glasgow in 2009, raced for his country in Event 2 of the 2009 FIM Speedway World Cup at Peterborough, scoring two points.

So three rounds (including this one) to go & it's in Woffinden's hands, who'd have thought that The race for automatic and picks is seriously hotting up with regulars Lindgren and Jonsson (although the Swedish title might save him) set to bow out WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS:[/u] 1 Tai Woffinden 117 2 Emil Sayfutdinov 114 3 Jaroslaw Hampel 96 4 Nicki Pedersen 94 5 Niels-Kristian Iversen 90 6 Greg Hancock 89 7 Matej Zagar 84 8 Chris Holder 82 9 Tomasz Gollob 73 10 Darcy Ward 68 11 Fredrik Lindgren 65 12 Krzysztof Kasprzak 62 13 Martin Vaculik 51 14 Andreas Jonsson 46 15 Antonio Lindback 35 16 Leon Madsen 13 17 Ales Dryml 11

What a chance for Woffinden. Been cool, calm and collected up to now but the pressure's on as it's his to lose:
Second placed rider in the 2013 series Emil Sayfutdinov has withdrawn from the Slovenian GP due to injury and his place in Saturday’s line-up will be taken by Denmark’s SGP second reserve Leon Madsen.

4th in the series and twice winner here, 13/8 Nicki Pedersen to reach the final looks the BOTD - I would say double up with Posh but they're a shade of odds on at 10/11 with Tomlin's state of mind still questionable - 4/1 Double though, not to be sniffed at

Have just bet on Pedersen to reach the final. Ladbrokes online says that the most popular bet is Pedersen at 9/1 to win. I prefer to play safe, 13/8 for 1, 2, 3, 4 is a nice bet. Will not get rich but will not have the debt collectors calling either through chasing money!

Another good example of reasons not to bet On the contrary - backed Hampel last two GP's but didn't get round to it today. Doh!!! That was a great example as to why Speedway isn't gaining new support in numbers.

That was a great example as to why Speedway isn't gaining new support in numbers. I did wonder with Hampel being one of your regular bets. Pedersen let me down, never even made the final (gate one is a ok but miss it and there is no plan b). However, fortunately had already got out of jail via the last race at Kempton.
