Must say that the American presidential election (sponsored by betfair I think) is getting right on my nerves on Talkradio. It's not the content, it's the fact that it's sponsored by a betting company which grinds my gears. Why would anyone waste money betting on that I don't know and they shouldn't be encouraging people to bet anyway IMO. I can see the logic on Talksport (slightly) but it is overkill with as many firms as they can get in (basically all offering the same service to lose your money) polluting the airwaves - "bet responsibly and when the fun stops stop" okey dokey, that's not how it works and they know it! well this is how much has been matched on it Next President Matched: £174,404,956 Betfair take abour2% You and I both know that gambling is a dangerous mugs game unless you can control yourself. I understand betting and sport goes together as on Talksport but found it quite disturbing that Talkradio also pollutes the airwaves with the gambling culture on what's basically just a news item. That's where these kids will end up next: Gambling addict kids losing up to £100,000 treated at first NHS clinic for childrenBit heavy for a Sunday morning

So it is, thanks for the heads up b0252 Struggling to listen to Talksport these days, it's full of crap discussion and presenters. Thankfully with a World Cup in 2018 it'll be wall to wall football from around now until May 2019. Agree it's going downhill rapidly, I detest The Sun and the crap that goes with it. H&J and The Two Mikes only shows worth a listen. On my travels this week and The Mikes on holiday, no podcasts. Have you downloaded their 'on the record, American Tales' series? Very good. Mike Graham@Iromg 26/12/20To all of you tweeting about The Two Mikes it’s very flattering. I’m very proud of what we did, what we achieved and the work we did. But I will never work with @mikeparry8 ever again. Thanks.

Parry should really learn to stay off Twitter when bladdered. Mike Graham appears to be doing very well on his own.

They embraced wokeness so I went full time Talkradio to get some common sense. Also catch a bit of LBC for the comedy value. It's often like the Labour Broadcasting Corporation, totally out of touch with reality: James O'Brien, what a clown

Your chances of getting a job if you’re a straight, white male are now very limited at TalkSPORT. Gone so far the other way - the racism still exists. Sky Sports have gone the same way. The other really annoying hypocrite is the very false, name dropper Jim White. Also a definite the turn off, which is annoying as like to listen to Simon Jordon.

Yup, I cancelled Skysports after 22 years subscriptions. I was thinking of returning to get F1 as the whole package is only £22 at the moment. With the footballers still taking the knee (I just want to watch football but apparently that makes me a racist and part of the problem) and Skysports still showing BLM banners allegedly then I'll stick to the totally refreshing and non woke Racing TV. Jim White has been a turn off from day 1 for me. Patronising name dropper with a superior voice that goes right through you. I'm a big Jordan fan as well. Very interesting to listen to.

Alway worth the admission money to hear Talkradio motormouth (I shout loudest and longest before cutting you off so win the argument) Julia Hartley-Brewer take on Talksport's wokemeister general Jake Robson. Today was a classic with a cricketing cancellation going on and the struggle to understand that people want to watch football and not American imported politics. Robson (like most of the woke bunch) say that they can't understand why the fans are booing the England team? The question is, if the team wasn't taking the knee then would the fans be booing? The answer is no. So what are the fans booing?
And here it is, grab a coffee and enjoy talkRADIO@talkRADIOJulia clashes with sports reporter Jake Robson over fans booing football players taking the knee. Jake: "Why would you boo your own team?" Every commentary had the commentator describing the knee-taking stupidity, before adding their own little editorial about anti racism and trying to make the gesture about something it isn't. It's pathetic. Kirk@carterusm1477Replying to@talkRADIO@JuliaHB1 and @_JakeRobson What’s going on with TalkSPORT is gone so woke it is like sky news … never listen to the channel nowadays

Cancelled Sky Sports yonks ago, have never regretted it. Used to enjoy Jeff Stelling and gang around the grounds on Sky Sports news. Even that is unrecognisable to the fun show it was. What really P’s me off with these subscription channels is when you thrash out a good deal (to stop you leaving), which locks you in for 18 months, then they keep sneaking in price rises.

Good old (am I aloud to say that ) Julia. Totally rinsed the guy. I find myself switching away from TalkSPORT more and more. Lasted about 10 mins of yesterday’s Sol Campbell interview. Not being a football manager has nothing to do with the colour of your skin Sol, you just talk absolute drivel.

I was looking at the £22 18 month Skysports offer on their website the other day. I'm pretty sure that the small print said that they could increase the cost (if prices go up) during that period. Seems like a bit of a rip off to me.

Seems like a bit of a rip off to me. It does and they will. The rip off is they tie you in at a bargain price then just keep increasing it. I negotiated a very tempting offer of £39 for 18 months. This included everything except Sky Sports, they also threw in Netflix. About 10 months in and I’m already up to £46. Next time I will try to negotiate a fixed deal for 18 months or threaten cancelling all.

I did actually catch that as I was in the car. Very to the point and typical Jordon. I think most England supporters used to support all the home nations in tournaments but the hatred towards us, especially from the Scottish and Welsh (players and fans) has made most of us think differently. I always wanted them to do well but now as Jordan says, “I couldn’t care less about them anymore”.

Dumbest quote of the day came from Kevin O'Sullivan this evening whilst on his usual BBC rant, this time about their staff working from home. He says some bloody stupid things at times (seems to get much of his info from Twitter) and said something along the lines of "what has work got to do with health and safety?" - and he gets a prime time radio slot

O’Sullivan used to have a column in the Red top Mirror, think it was as their TV critic. Moaned about everything. Not sure if he still does it, not read The Mirror for years.

I have DM online for their horse racing cards but it's a tough read otherwise. Anything with Kevin Maguire as a participant is to be avoided if possible. O'Sullivan no longer has a column thankfully. He's had a couple of rants recently on Talkradio (even I spotted that they came off Twitter and been highlighted as incorrect) and got guests on who he thought were off like mind but they went on to explain what a nob he is Also someone pointed out how well Farage is doing on GB News (obviously in competition with O'Sullivan's slot) and you could tell that threw him and he had to get off that subject quickly - said something like "leaving that aside"

I am in shock how the hell has Dean Saunders sneaked his way back on to TalkSPORT??? He talked absolute rubbish before his drink driving conviction, perfect reason for getting rid. Now back again talking the same cr@p. WTF???

Gabby Agbonlahor must be the worst I’ve ever heard as a co presenter, right up there with Danny Mills. Saved by podcasts whilst cooking.
