Seems to me two entirely separate issues here. (1) The BSPA ruling (2) Why did Ged go ahead when we are led to believe that he had been told that the changes would not allowed. It would also be interesting to have the actual number of meetings he will miss should the move go ahead. Presently it is between 3 and upwards of 7 depending on whose figures are to be believed. As revealed by others Godfrey has his own agenda 1. He wasn't happy that Holub getting hurt at the Showground a few weeks ago scuppered his team plans up for bringing in Lysager. 2. He wasn't happy that Peterborough stuffed his team home and away in the PLC matches. Why should Ged be dictated to about his team selection just because Godfrey or any other MC member doesn't like it. These sort of decisions based on the MC ideas rather than rules have gone on for years and as I have said before it depends whose asking as to what sort of decision is given, Ged did well in his first year and the establishment didn't like it (you surely remember 2006 and how Colin Horton winning the league went down) Godfrey would have you believe that riders cannot ride for the same club if they share the same race night but of course fails to mention Dan Bewsley who does just that for Edinburgh and Belle Vue. Yes Cook will miss meetings, riders missing meetings is part of the sport, what's new.

Will be amazed if the BSPA back track and change their decision. They often get it wrong but never admit to it. Unless they realise the rule stated is so flawed and subject to numerous legal ramifications.

Unless they realise the rule stated is so floored and subject to numerous legal ramifications. They are not going to undermine the vice-chairman so it's like phoning the ref when you've been excluded: a pointless exercise.

I thought it was also interesting that the BSPA were blocking some of the Twitter users. I've had trouble looking at the BSPA site for a while. Such situations, innocent or not, always feed my suspicious nature. I was getting no access for a long time, then a couple of weeks ago that cleared and all seemed tickety boo. Then over the last couple of days the problems have returned, I can see the home page but none of the links work, they just return me to the home page. Of course it might be a glitch within my system but I have no other connection problems with any site (outside of the usual when they are working on a particular site) at any time which does lead one to think, how the hell has that happened

Neither does anyone else which begs the question why only that site? Having said that, I just tried an alternative link an it was ok. It just seems to be the homepage that's the problem, how strange!

Cook cleared to ride by BSPA
I personally cannot remember the BSPA changing its decision before.

Well the BSPA have excelled themselves this time and sanctioned the signing of the Czech rider Holub on a 3.00 Avg.

I must say ged don't f##k about , if he'd been around and worked with the frosts when they were about , panthers would be on a different planet in the elite league , you have to applaud the bloke on how he's changed things around with the fans and the effort he puts in to team matters
