The rulebook was completely re written last year by the SCB, we still await whatever changes will be made today but I’m not sure it will be anything too fundamental other than yet another race format if the 6 man teams are ratified. I have no great faith in Godfrey so I doubt it will be anything groundbreaking. The present SCB however is not to be compared with the old Speedway Control Board. The present SCB shouldn’t be compared with the last decade or two, Jim Lawrence is now Chairman and he is a different fish entirely to his immediate predecessors.

Every British team will track at least one home-grown youngster in 2021 with the UK season set to begin on May 1 - every club will track at least one British youngster graded on ability.
All six SGB Premiership sides must build a seven-man team, featuring six riders with a combined average up to 35.5, plus a novice graded four or below.
Premiership racing is set to return on May 3 and features Belle Vue, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Peterborough, Ipswich and King’s Lynn, meeting each other home and away twice for a total of 20 regular-season matches. There will also be an individual series, with one round at each club.

Not a chance of any summer sport taking place in 2021. All the recent bullshit from the BSPA shows they are still in la la land. If Buster thinks the punters are going to pay £18 to watch the third rate product the are proposing he will be gravely mistaken.

If Buster thinks the punters are going to pay £18 to watch the third rate product the are proposing he will be gravely mistaken. To be fair, they have to be seen to doing something. I'm not sure how you communicate anything positive in winter during a pandemic. They're never going to get that right as their communication skills are never the best. I still think things will improve from April as the weather improves but I still can't see a league season of 20+ meetings happening. As to the weak product and novice reserves, who remembers the 3 or 5 year (can't recall the timescale) plan of weakening the product and the subsequent draft system of reserves a few years ago? Here we are again! Hope the promoters have agreed a reduction in their rent because the Covid footfall isn't going to pay for that product in the event of them getting those meetings in during 2021. It's funny where there seems to be crowds in some places and not at others. Think I saw a tweet from Pinjar Park (Aus) at the weekend saying that they had a good crowd in for their Saturday meeting but someone alternatively posted saying that they didn't have the luxury of crowds yet in NSW. Prem football has no crowd to boo kneeling footballers but heard that the NFL over the weekend had some fans in? All very strange and fragmented. If we do have regional decision making, can you imagine some taxpayer paid jobsworth akin to Mark Drakeford (The Welsh bloke) with power locally

Good to see Godfrey has still got his finger on the pulse. He announces on Sunday, no changes for Scunny in 2021 and two days later Jake Allen announces he is staying put in Oz. You could not make it up. 😂
