Latest on the Bees web site todays states provisional agreement has been reached for Mick Horton to run the club for 2012 but it needs ratification from the BSPA. That could be an interesting meeting. What a joke! We all know the BSPA are a bunch of incompetent morons but if they allow this they will have sunk to even lower levels than we have expected of them. How can speedway call itself a serious sport if we allow this to go ahead.

Needs to rid himself of a family reputation that's all. #cleanbreak
Just change his name to Mick Meerkat and delete several years speedway history, sorted

Hardly surprising Rosco has left is it. Who on earth would want to work alongside Mick Horton the bloke is a complete and utter numpty. Pratty next anyone? Feel a bit sorry for Cov fans, only a bit mind. ;D Maybe MH should change his name? How about Billy Liar? Eustace Useless? Freddie Dreamer? Mick Thick? ;D

STATEMENT FROM ALUN ROSSITERThursday November 03, 2011 beesweb It is with great regret and sadness that I can confirm I am leaving my positions as co-promoter and team manager of the Coventry Bees. Unfortunately I feel I have been placed in an impossible position, and I have had to take this decision for both myself and my family. I fully respect the fact that Mick Horton is coming into the club, and that he will be making his own decisions. He will have his own figures to work with, and it may be the case that he wishes to take the club in a different direction. I would like to thank the fans for their massive support during my two years with the Bees. It has been a true roller-coaster, so many ups and downs, but we have brought in some exciting talent and what we achieved together in 2010 will always be very close to my heart.

Does anyone think Mick Horton will come in for his old team manager Trevor Swales now Rosco has left, I appreciate some compensation will probably be needed but If Rick wont pay it, we could have a whip round. ;D

Mick Horton claims in this weeks Speedway Star that he paid all of his debts. Did he now? There's also a very interesting link on the BSF!

There was a link on one of the threads (couldn't be arsed to look at it as I'm not interested) which I assume was something to do with business affairs? But whatever, search the BSF if you're interested, it's probably been deleted by now knowing the BSF

For years I always thought that at Coventry with Messrs Sandhu, Trump, Oakes, Pratt and Rossiter, it was a club that had far to many chiefs and not enough Indians. How ironic that the club now has the biggest Cowboy in Speedway at the helm. Coventry's new owner with sidekick 'Tonto' Scroggins

Anyway I'm hearing of a Coventry management dream team of Lone Ranger Mick, Tonto Scroggins, Trumpton and Oakes. Gotta feel sorry for Pratty. They only need to add Waggy to the collection for a full house of numpty's. Couldn't happen to a nicer set of fans (minus the 20% nice ones).

Is anyone else quietly sitting on there hands and biting there lips really hoping that this fate is bestowed on Coventry? I am going to laugh non stop for 24 hours if and when this is announced. It is so funny. off you go then ;D OFFICIAL STATEMENT Wednesday November 09, 2011On behalf of Coventry Racing Club Ltd. Avtar Sandhu is pleased to confirm that the agreement with Mick Horton for him to lease the club until the end of season 2012 with an option to purchase the club outright at the end of that season has been finalized. We have known Mick for a number of years on both a personal and a business level which made our due diligence for a suitable buyer a lot easier. We have found Mick to be an honest upfront business man who delivers exactly what has been agreed and has an in depth knowledge of the speedway world. He needs and deserves everybody’s unreserved support to keep the Bees at the top of speedway and to bring back the silverware we missed out on last season. He has made a great start by the signings he has already made and having heard some of the names in the frame for the remaining places I am confident he is going in the right direction. We have to wait to see what happens at the AGM but he is well advanced with signing the remaining riders and has not encountered anything other than support from riders, many of whom have contacted him direct. Under the deal he has twelve months to secure the purchase of the team whilst at the same time gaining the fans' support and trust by his actions rather than promises. Please join with us in supporting Mick in his desire to bring some glory back to Brandon. The deal has to be ratified by the BSPA, a process which is well under way and should be concluded in time for the AGM. On behalf of the former management of Coventry Speedway we wish Mr. Horton and the supporters of the Coventry Bees the very best for the future. beesweb
