Am I the only one who finds the latest stories circulating on the forums quite disheartening.
We had a winter last year where our club and Coventry took the BSPA over the rules and rule changes being drafted in to supposedly stop clubs gaining an advantage in signing riders on false averages.
In the last few days
We have had Lakeside sign Robert Mear on a discounted 2.5% because he rode in the NL 4 years ago despite the rule stating it was for 3 years only, I say rule because no one can point me to where its actually written or proof that it actually exists.
Coventry sign Leigh Lanham on his converted 2101 PL GSA despite him holding a perfectly legal 2010 EL GSA which according to the current rules should be the one he uses.
And POOLE and KINGS LYNN openly bragging that dispite listing Masters and Wolbert on assessed averages in their 2012 teams they will be exploiting the loophole allowing them each to redeclare their teams just days after the season starts.
And for good measure we still dont have any sign of an independant body which supposedly was being introduced last year, and people wonder why this sport is thought off as a complete joke.

and people wonder why this sport is thought of as a complete joke. I think that it probably always was but is now open to greater scrutiny thanks mainly due to the internet and is being shown up for what it is
