Hurtling around a tight shale-covered oval track at full throttle takes a certain sort of sporting courage. To do so at speeds of 60mph without brakes would, to most people, appear foolhardy. In No Brakes, No Fear, the young speedway riders of Kings Lynn Stars are captured on the night of a league play-off decider, as a former Kings Lynn Star and former world champion Michael Lee recalls his successes on the track, his fall from grace off it and the continuing appeal and redemptive aspects of British speedway riding. Producer: Alan Hall A Falling Tree production for BBC Radio 4. time limited www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b019xrnr

Tells us nothing we didnt already know!! Dont know what all the fuss is about!! Background from Lynn is annoying. Come on now, that's the BBC, it's a result to get anything to do with speedway on there. I doubt that they could produce anything that we didn't know already. There's no such thing as bad publicity allegedly Here's a downloadable link for anyone interested (from speedway@yahoogroups) And for those of you abroad who may not be able to get the iplayer, or those who want to download it here is a link to an MP3 http://www.ruskins.n...loads/index.htm www.ruskins.net/downloads/index.htm if you right click and save you will be able to download the file to put on your ipod or whatever. The file is about 28MB in total Regards Steve Ruskin Upwell, GB
