Parker famously wrote "soft cock" under Sullivan's name in the pits in 2003. ;D Parker was a great servant to Panthers and an even greater servant to the sport. Got a lot of time for Parks I hope he has a fantastic (and financially rewarding) farewell meeting.

Australian Shane Parker signed-off his 22-years of racing in Britain on Sunday night with his farewell meeting at Sheffield.The meeting was to celebrate Parker's years spent racing for Ipswich, Middlesbrough, King’s Lynn, Hull, Belle Vue, Peterborough, Glasgow, Somerset & finally Sheffield last year, raced over a 20 heat format it was fellow Australian Chris Holder who claimed the win after a race-off. The Grand Prix star finished his five heats with 11 points, King's Lynn rider Niels-Kristian Iversen, Wolverhampton's Peter Karlsson and Scunthorpe's Josh Auty also finished on 11 points which forced a run-off. Holder made a lightning gate in the run-off and was untouched as he went on to take the win, Iversen held off a challenge from Karlsson to grab second place with Auty just behind for fourth.
