Lack of support partly due IMHO the ground and it's ever shrinking location. It's a shame that the wrong bit of this was followed through:March 2007: Macanthony concluded his powerful address by announcing that he has received confirmation from senior city council figures that they are keen to help his bid to move Posh to a new stadium.Macanthony continued: "I have asked the council to try and allocate some land on which we can develop a new stadium. "I have have now received something that officially says senior council officials are keen to establish a new ground on a 60-acre site."I will be speaking with them on this matter over the weekend." That comes days after Macanthony made an unsuccessful 4 million bid for the London Road ground. The offer was rejected by Peterborough United Holdings Ltd who, Macanthony claimed, wanted 12 million, but Macanthony insisted he is not prepared to negotiate with them again
off the top of my head, think Swansea, Wigan, Reading etc - all teams worse than Posh and once playing in run down dumps!

Would have thought we are getting close to the end for Feguson, he cannot surely keep his job if they keep losing every week 4 year contract or not. Well considering where D'Mac wants to be and the club going backwards under Ferguson, I'd say something drastic is needed. Luke James seemed to be yesterday's positive point? The important point though was Posh 0 yet again!

Or perhaps not given the dire negative goal free football Ferguson's side are serving up? Darragh MacAnthony @dmac102 29/12/14 And to dispel a myth out there about 3 or 4 year contracts; I always insert break clauses. I always do whats best for the football club!

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony launched a remarkable rant on social media at the shortcomings of the club’s players following yesterday’s (January 11) defeat at the hands of lowly Colchester.
MacAnthony, who just last week financed a five-day break in Marbella for his management staff and playing squad in an unsuccessful attempt to help improve on a desperate run of form, was clearly unhappy at a team who failed to score for the fourth home match in a row.
Following the 2-0 League One home defeat at The ABAX Stadium Posh have now taken just five points from their last 11 League One matches, but while many fans lay the blame firmly at the door of beleagured boss Darren Ferguson, MacAnthony decided to attack his players in an astonishing Twitter tirade which created national news headlines.
MacAnthony delivered 11 reasons why he was ‘so peed off’ by his under-performing players. He finished his rant by offering a stark warning to his squad: “If any of my players are a bit too sensitive to what’s been said, feel free to let me know. Or, alternatively, just do your job!”
MacAnthony’s Twitter storm started just three hours after the final whistle and a couple of hours after he’d assured Ferguson his job was still safe. Individual players were singled out as was referee Jeremy Simpson, who cautioned five Posh players and sent Ferguson to the stand during the half-time interval, and the stayaway Posh fans.
After warning Posh fans that he ‘had the hump’ MacAnthony listed his major moans on Twitter:
- “I’m p***d off that it’s always the manager who is held responsible when a team of players fold like a stack of cards when the going gets tough!
“I’m P***d off that our team can play with that kind of tempo/intensity for (the) first 25 minutes, then follow that up with the 65 minutes we all witnessed!
“I’m p***d off that a player of Joe Newell’s ability can miss an open goal from five yards out early on. He should be scoring 10/15 a season.
- “I’m p***d off that a striker (Luke James) I paid half a million for, minutes before Colchester score, scuffs great chance eight yards out with nobody near him.
“I’m p***d off that Bossie (Michael Bostwick) allows their top scorer to get in front of him to tap in their first goal, shouldn’t happen!
“I’m p***d off that our centre back (Christian Burgess) runs 50 yards to edge of opposition’s box, doesn’t pass or shoot but loses ball & they go other end and score.
“I’m p***d off that both our full-backs (Michael Smith & Kgosi Ntlhe), who had plenty of the ball, couldn’t deliver any crosses of any merit or quality or with urgency.
“I’m p***d off that we had a ref (Jeremy Simpson) who cost us Crewe game because of incorrect decision was given us again, then sent manager off and many yellows today!
“I’m p***d off that as going has got tough many thousands of fans have, a bit like our players, folded and taken their ball and gone home!
“I’m p***d 0ff that our goalkeeper (Ben Alwnick) had three shots to save all game but we conceded two goals!”
MacAnthony signed off by insisting he would ‘still pay the bills tomorrow and next Saturday will pay thousands to watch my team play football and hopefully win.”
MacAnthony flies back to his home in the United States this week. He has every Posh match beamed live to his house at a four-figure cost.
