Well this is the proverbial skin as bottom (literally) plays top (almost) in this L1 clash. Crewe have won their last two matches (against not particularly good opposition come to that) and have had some decent home thumpings, as well as conceding six at Milton Keynes. Posh have only lost three of their 13 matches so far and if they play as they should then they shouldn't be coming away with anything less than a point, which in all honesty will be as bad as a defeat!

Terrible night for Posh who lose ground on Bristol as the pack close up behind. If they have a bad run then Posh could quickly be out the play-off places. It's another bottom v top on Saturday as they travel to 4th bottom Coventry!
Crewe beat nine-man Peterborough to move off the bottom of League One, as second-placed Posh lost ground on leaders Bristol City.
Posh keeper Ben Alnwick kept out George Ray's header before Michael Bostwick was sent off for fouling Crewe's Adam Dugdale from the resulting corner.
Marcus Haber converted the penalty, while he and Brad Inman were denied a second by Alnwick before half-time.
Jack Baldwin saw red for a second bookable offence in stoppage time.
Prior to that, Inman missed the opportunity to double Crewe's lead late on, shooting wide when one-on-one with Alnwick.
Despite the best efforts of the impressive Marcus Maddison, who was a threat for the visitors throughout, the Alex were able to keep consecutive clean sheets for the first time this season.
Peterborough had won three of their four matches prior to their trip to Gresty Road and they remain second in the table, but they are now six points behind Bristol City after Steve Cotterill's side drew 2-2 with Bradford at Ashton Gate.
Crewe, meanwhile, climb above Scunthorpe and Walsall after beating Posh for the first time since April 1996.

If they want promotion they should be dispatching these sort of sides with aplomb. Coventry away on Saturday who are on an awful run of form, I've no doubt they'll turn it around against us.
