Posh host Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Sunday (3pm) at the ABAX Stadium.
Peterborough United will look to bounce back from the disappointing 3-2 defeat at Chesterfield on Boxing Day when they entertain 'away day' specialists Doncaster Rovers at the ABAX Stadium.
The Rovers return on the road is impressive, unbeaten in six away from the Keapmoat and last time out they defeated promotion challengers Swindon Town at the County Ground.
Paul Dickov's men defeated Coventry City at home on Boxing Day and arrive at the ABAX full of confidence. Posh boss Darren Ferguson knows that his side have to show an improvement from their showing at the Proact Stadium.
'The turnaround from Boxing Day is quick and we know we have a chance to put things right, but we also know what a good side Doncaster are away from home. They have had a lot of good results on the road and will come to the AMAX with nothing to fear. (how hard is it to get ABAX right?)
'I said after the defeat to Chesterfield that the comeback we showed in the second half didn't mask or hide the things we know that we need to improve on. We were disappointed and we have to go again,' Ferguson said.
The Posh boss is likely to be without defender Kgosi Ntlhe who is struggling with a knee injury. Marcus Maddison returned to action with a good showing and is pushing for a starting berth, while Jack Payne will be assessed on the day of the game after he was forced off with dizziness and sickness against Chesterfield.

That'll be a bonus if they're both out, especially Payne!

Well if you need a reason not to watch Ferguson's dire side playing mainly sideways in their own half at fortress London Road then our friends at BBC Radio Cambs provide the ammunition:
BBC Cambs Sport @bbccambssport 28/12/14
Darren Ferguson's side have scored just two league goals on their own turf since Oct 18th - against Scunthorpe and Swindon. #theposh
It may turn out to be a cracker but 3 live Prem matches, 2 UK GG meetings & 2 Irish meetings will do me as an alternative.

Would have thought we are getting close to the end for Feguson, he cannot surely keep his job if they keep losing every week 4 year contract or not.

Would have thought we are getting close to the end for Feguson, he cannot surely keep his job if they keep losing every week 4 year contract or not. I stayed at home and despite an allegedly (through Edwin's blue glasses) better 2nd half it sounded like the right choice with 45 minutes of dire football before the rally! I heard 6,800 or something, well that'll put a few more off from returning before next Christmas. Barry Fry & Darren Ferguson seem to be Posh's Tetley - bombproof, although Ferguson has to be on shakey ground if D Mac can afford to get rid?

Watching Boyd at LR used to be the equivalent of watching Andersen, Sullivan, Crump etc at the EoES: oh how far the regular dross we see now is a million miles from that excitement? I'm sure that even Posh diehard Luke would find Frost's tractor racing more interesting these days?
Boyd still doing the biz? Albeit offside allegedly?
Manchester City missed a golden chance to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea as they surrendered a two-goal half-time lead against Burnley.
City were cruising when Fernandinho followed up David Silva's opener with a fine curling shot.
George Boyd scored straight after the break, turning home Danny Ings ' shot despite appearing to be offside.
Then Ashley Barnes reacted quickest in a crowded penalty area to smash home a loose ball to earn the visitors a draw.
