Grant McCann and Aaron Mclean will assist caretaker-manager Dave Robertson in preparing Peterborough United for their League One match against Bradford City at the ABAX Stadium.
Robertson was announced as stand-in boss following the dismissal of manager Darren Ferguson and five members of his coaching staff after a 3-0 League One defeat at MK Dons yesterday (February 21).
Mclean is currently on loan at Posh from Bradford until the end of the season. McCann left Posh to play for Irish club Linfield last month, but will help with the coaching on his days off.
McCann is the early favourite to replace Ferguson permanently, but Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony insists he will take his time before appointing his new full-time manager.
MacAnthony said: āIām delighted that both Grant and Aaron have stepped up to help Dave Robertson whilst both still have playing jobs. They are class acts who would do anything for Posh.ā
Mclean is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Peterborough United host Bradford City at the ABAX Stadium in Sky Bet League One action.
After an eventful week, it back to matters on the pitch for Peterborough United as promotion contenders Bradford City arrive at the ABAX Stadium for a Sky Bet League One fixture.
Following the departure of Darren Ferguson and his management team, it is Academy manager Dave Robertson who takes over the reigns for the clash with the Bantams.
Robertson will be ably supported by Aaron Mclean and Grant McCann, with the latter released from his contract with Linfield to take a coaching role at Posh.
Robertson confirmed that Mclean will not be in the dugout as he faces his parent club. He is unavailable to play due to the terms of the loan arrangement and in respect of his parent club, he will not be asked to take a place in the dugout.
'I am really looking forward to the game on Saturday. I know I will be proud as punch when I take my place in the dugout, but I will be excited as well. It is a fantastic opportunity and one that I am relishing.
'It has been a bit of a whirlwhind few days, but the players have responded in the right manner. We have tried to instill a bit of confidence and belief into the group and we want to play with a bit of flair and attacking intent.
'I want the supporters onside as they can play a massive part on Saturday. They can really be the 12th man. I am confident the players will give 100% commitment to the cause, that is the minumum any supporter would expect from the group,' Robertson said.
Striker Kyle Vassell and midfielder Joe Newell are expected to return from injury while Marcus Maddison remains a doubt. Jack Baldwin is a long term absentee.
