Panthers riders cheer up patients

Speedway riders are no strangers to hospitals.

But the entire Panthers team descended on Peterborough City Hospital to spread a bit of cheer rather than seek treatment.

They handed out presents and Easter eggs, donated by the Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters’ Club (PPSSC), to young patients in the Amazon Ward.

Promoter Ged Rathbone said: “We are very keen to do more in the community and this was part of it.

“Every rider was in attendance and it was a very humbling experience to be able to give a little bit of cheer to those unfortunate enough to be in hospital.”

Panthers will also offer any long-term patients at the Amazon Ward the chance to attend home meetings during the 2016 season.

nobody can moan at what ged and co have done for the club , listening to saul and having pointless intervals when its freezing have finally broke the camels back for me

I can even stomach Saul in small doses but it's the mindless waffle instead of telling us the meeting specific information that does my head in. Then it's waffling on at the end of the race instead of playing the music letting the riders do a lap for the crowd to show their appreciation. I've just watched it, I don't bloody need it describing or further comment adding
