In view of recent events I fear for the future of Panthers at EOES. The Horton plan of a few years back is clearly a non starter. Seems to me if Panthers are to continue a new home is required/ I have never been to the Dog Track does anybody know whether it may be suitable for Speedway and whether attempts have been made in the past to run Speedway there?
Isn't that where Danny Dunton was originally negotiating to house the Panthers back in 1969? I might be wrong but I think it is.

Sure I read in an interview with Danny Dunton they looked at the dog track before settling on the the showground. The proximity of the residential properties in Fengate being the deciding factor.

Not a chance. Too many neighbours and very much doubt the owners need it. The place is packed most Greyhound meetings, 3 nights a week - must make a fortune on the tote in the Grandstand. It’s a good night out for all, inc families. Their business model has been consistently successful. They certainly don’t need the challenges from Speedway.

Speculation on BSF if Rye House may be the first victims of fixed race nights. Tomorrows meeting called off "cancelled" was the word used with no explanation given.

Interesting read: Is Rye House the worst stadium in the Premiership?"The presentation is awful. That’s no criticism to Craig Saul who does a sterling job alone, but it’s basically flat!" - that quote could have been about Peterborough

Interesting post on the BSF about Rye House with this snippet: "The presentation is awful. That’s no criticism to Craig Saul who does a sterling job alone, but it’s basically flat!" - sounds familiar although anyone on an invisible irritating roving mic is unlikely to improve the situation!

I see that I'd already done that one Guess that it must bug me a bit

Unconfirmed reports that Rye House have folded If this is correct, it will be interesting to see what spin the mafia come up with to gloss this over.

Unconfirmed reports that Rye House have folded If this is correct, it will be interesting to see what spin the mafia come up with to gloss this over. More interesting to read one solution (for 2019) on the BSF: "Better still let the 2 leagues join up, meet each other in the league once at home and away, add in a Knock out Cup with teams drawn from the hat and perhaps a few a individual/local derby cups and you would get racing from Easter to end of September every week, and to encourage younger fans one child under 16 £1 entry with a full paying adult. Rider numbers might be a problem so cut the riders to 6 per team and bring in some youngsters from the National league, as long as team averages can be evenly matched."Stuff the averages, that just means someone who's doing well if they score anything at home but might as well do something useful and drive the tractor at away tracks! Yes they have to learn but watching them isn't entertainment IMO. The diehard hardcore think that it is and when it all bottoms out they'll get the product they deserve. The preferred favourite once was the EL/Prem hybrid but the bar has been set lower now and for the majority of tracks that survive they will be nearer a CL/NL hybrid.
