Well this was 2019 "Promoters Carl Johnson and Colin Pratt are expected to represent the club at Coventry for the AGM which begins next Wednesday (Nov 13)." So without any meaningful league action in 2020 and an AGM (if it happens) taking place in a lockdown, what will they discuss, who will attend? AGM AGENDA NO IDEA!

BRITISH Speedway chairman Rob Godfrey says every Championship club will be at the tapes next year – but there could be some team changes.
With the Premiership looking to keep the same riders where possible, Godfrey admits a tweak to some of the Championship teams may be necessary.
And he says British riders who were frozen out of original team line-ups for 2020 should be given first refusal on any vacant spots.
“I have a list of 16 riders who merit a place in the Championship in my opinion,” he said. “If we lose any riders for whatever reason we should be giving riders from the list I have an opportunity.
“I’m encouraged by the attitude of clubs. The Championship had a get-together this week and everyone is determined to come to the tapes next spring.
“The scientists are saying things will look a lot different in the spring and we are planning on an Easter start to the 2021 season. We’re already talking about fixtures and cup draws.
“I know there were fears we would lose a club or two because of the pandemic but everyone is keen and raring to go for 2021. It’s made us all hungrier than ever to see our clubs in action.”

With the Premiership looking to keep the same riders where possibleBSPA 4/11/20 Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen has hit out at plans by Polish authorities to limit PGE Ekstraliga riders to racing in just one other league in 2021.While some FIM Speedway Grand Prix riders race solely in the World Championship and PGE Ekstraliga, there are others who prefer to compete in four or more of Europe’s top leagues. Pedersen hit out at the prospect of being forced to choose just one other club if he races in next year’s PGE Ekstraliga. “What's going on in this speedway world? Is it really Poland that should and can sit on all laws and rules? “Where are the other countries? And where is the co-operation and respect between countries?” The rule changes could force some of the sport’s top stars to make tough choices over where they will race next year, with Pedersen regularly competing in Poland, home country Denmark, Sweden and Britain, where he was expected to race for Sheffield in 2021. The Polish restrictions potentially place his much-anticipated return to Owlerton in doubt, while others like Jason Doyle, Robert Lambert, Jack Holder, Dan Bewley, Jaimon Lidsey and Niels-Kristian Iversen could also face some big decisions.
Riders competing in the Polish First and Second Divisions will be allowed to compete in two other leagues, which will ease the pressure on them to choose between clubs unless they race in four or more leagues. It is suggested the changes were introduced by Poles to allow opportunities for new riders to develop in other countries. They will also increase the availability of riders for Polish matches and limit the risk of injury. But the timing of these changes may not be welcomed in a year when rider earnings have already been hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Some clubs will be far from happy with the prospect of being forced to part with their top riders due to a rule that places restrictions on how and where the sport’s top names earn their money. sgp 2/11/20

“The scientists are saying things will look a lot different in the spring and we are planning on an Easter start to the 2021 season. BSPA 4/11/20 Are they? What sort of start is that then because it isn't going to be a 2019 type start, if at all. I can't see the winter being a lot of fun and with Easter and a cluster of Bank Holidays then, then we could well go back into lockdown at any time around then

If we get started by May we will be lucky, we will see.

If we get started by May we will be lucky, we will see. Indeed. It's a Carl Johnson, Colin Pratt style quote. Poland is off the safe travel list, Denmark is being removed today (Nov 6), with Germany and the gold standard of getting it right allegedly, Sweden, being deemed not safe from tomorrow (Nov 7). That would scupper any speedway without it being a sort of Championship/NDL hybrid with UK of UK based riders only, unless speedway riders at the higher level get a travel exemption? There's no prospect of normal crowd levels being allowed/resumed if that is still one of their criteria so what's going to change greatly by Easter? Not much I suspect but time will tell. I know that Godfrey has got to talk things up but he'd be hard pressed to find any scientists at the moment who know where this is going.

All seven top flight clubs have signalled their intention to be at the tapes again next year and club bosses are already working on a potential fixture list and are planning to launch the 2021 season in April subject to fans returning to venues.
Behind closed doors racing is not an option although a love streaming service proved popular in the Belle Vue events (I assume that's live streaming? It is text from the ET, Nov 5, which isn't known for it's proof reading and quality!).
