What a pain in the a*** they are. Just tried to pay for something online using an M&S credit card with the app asking for a password/code that I don't know and can't see to change anywhere on the app or via their banking website page? I called the bank and the assistant seemed as confused as me so I hung up after messing about for a couple of minutes going nowhere. So p'd off that I just called the company, told them what I wanted, they took the card details and that was it. Done in 2 minutes. Banking apps, self service and call centres are the most useless ideas/inventions known to man

Ask for the evidence of increased efficiency and customer satisfaction? The wait will be longer than the telephone queue that you sit in (unless you call back at some alleged more convenient time or use their crappy online system (app or website)) waiting to speak to someone using a checklist who is all too often difficult to understand or converse with

Get real. I can do almost everything I need to do on my Santander mobile app. Why would I need to drive to a branch when I can view my balance, pay transactions, services, pay in cheques etc... Rodders, sometimes you need to embrace change. It’s so easy. I think you are on a negative mindset before you even try.
