Emil Sayfutdinov’s manager Tomasz Suskiewicz has launched a scathing attack on the Motorcycle Federation of Russia after confirming the Grand Prix star will not race in the Speedway World Cup.
Sayfutdinov is joined on the sidelines by brothers Grigory and Artem Laguta, who have failed to secure the visas needed to race in Event Two at King’s Lynn on Monday.
The Russians have reportedly called up Leicester duo Sergey Darkin and Ilya Bondarenko as replacements to join Poole’s Renat Gafurov and Roman Povazhny in the team. They are yet to name a fifth man.

Only in speedway Can someone explain to me please how Emil has been able to ride in this country for the Bees but is not allowed to for his country? I thought a visa to work here would cover ALL speedway meetings but this appears to not be the case. Are any of you football fanatics on here aware of any similar situation ever occurring involving the Russian football team?

Can't see it happening in football? That's not to say that it hasn't but it would be a shock whereas in speedway it isn't? These guys have managers so the buck should stop with them but no doubt there's more to this than meets the eye? Probably something more financial

Emil rode at Cardiff but we were told that Laguta could not because of lack of a Visa - now both of them plus the other Laguta brother cannot ride in this World Cup round I for one will not now be driving over to the Norfolk Arena - its Sky for me

Is it over yet Best quote of the night by Tatum was that our number of heat wins shows that we have a chance in the race off What it shows is that when there are 3 other serious threats sitting at tapes on foreign shale instead of a match race situation on our own shale then it's a question of 3rd or 4th on the night

load off cack thank god i didn't pay to watch that, The SWC is cack full stop but people still buy into for some reason and why we need the dross taking a week out of the season is beyond me. This could all be sorted over weekend. I mean, what would fans prefer, a week of cack or a Panthers BEL meeting or two After a fine week weatherwise let's hope that the weekend's forecast bad weather doesn't stretch into next week

Are any of you football fanatics on here aware of any similar situation ever occurring involving the Russian football team? This is all to do with money or rather the lack of it, Sayfutdinov requires all his expenses being paid to cover his flights, mechanics and hotel etc and the Russian Federation or the Russian clubs wont pay, so he doesnt ride. To be fair it isnt to different to Lee Richardson not riding because its well known that all the riders lose out because the money on offer is rubbish and they need the relevant domestic organisations to help out (BSPA, Svemo, DMU etc). The Laguta,s didnt submit for visas in time and their country wouldnt or didnt assist in trying to sort it out. The whole thing smacks of cock up and trying to do it on the cheap but its clear someone makes a good buck out of this and it certainly isnt the staging clubs or the riders. Does anyone else think these meetings are to long, jesus they just go on and on and on.

Rather ironic really with Pearson and Tatum saying last Monday how much better meetings are when they get on with them. The fans prefer it and the riders like it? God knows what they all made of that drawn out guff last night Best bit was Loram saying how ridiculous the Russian side was and in such circumstance a proper team should be brought in as replacement
