Hilariously they think Nikki P is going to sign for them. Wonder when the penny will drop that they are in the rubbish? I'm thinking Batch was supposed to go there in a swap for rider replacement Allen hence the recent press statement from Frosty???

There have been several occasions when I have read comments from the Stars fans which made me think they just don't get the Elite League complexities We all knew that last year was the easy bit and the second year was going to test the resolve. They didn't quite get it though and it's not looking go so far

In the Star today PUK says he never heard anything from Panthers management about 2012 so signed for Lynn. It's a familiar story. How difficult can it be to tell a rider we are sorry but we are not going to use you?

How difficult can it be to tell a rider we are sorry but we are not going to use you? Surely it works both ways though! How difficult is it for the rider to be proactive and contact the club to see whether he figures in their plans. Sitting on your arse and then blaming someone else is rather a weak argument if you're that bothered

From all accounts backed up by riders views the club doesnt seem to want to talk but prefer to text, not very professional but hey thats speedway for ya!

From all accounts backed up by riders views the club doesnt seem to want to talk but prefer to text, not very professional but hey thats speedway for ya! That may or not bet true but in many cases it is that simple. Most riders have ample opportunity to highlight such issues on the internet through Twitter etc and I can't remember Iversen Tweeting to say that he was trying to contact the club to discuss his 2012 options. At least texting is contact of some sort. It's rather unsatisfactory but its a start. Did he actually text to ask whether he figured in Panthers plans because he has another offer if not. At the end of the day it's a job like anything else and if nobody comes knocking then it's up to you isn't it, or is speedway different to the real world in that respect as well?

I don't, but your quote never mentions "despite contacting the club" so it's fair to assume that he didn't. It's how hard you try, much like Swales saying (a year or two ago?) that Andersen never got back to him, what a weak excuse that was

Hilariously they think Nikki P is going to sign for them. Wonder when the penny will drop that they are in the rubbish? I'm thinking Batch was supposed to go there in a swap for rider replacement Allen hence the recent press statement from Frosty??? Penny has dropped After moving quickly to secure the services of Niels Kristian Iversen, Mads Korneliussen and David Howe immediately after the 2011 AGM, the King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars took a short break to decide the direction of their team building plans, announcing their dilemma of building top heavy or with strength in depth. The wait for Stars fans is now over, after promoter Buster Chapman announced that attempts to bring Nicki Pedersen to the Norfolk Arena next season had not worked out ‘Nicki made it known to us before the AGM that he would love to ride for King’s Lynn next season, reaching a deal was not a problem but his availability proved to be. Nicki tried his hardest and was totally honest with us but in the end he could only commit himself until July, and while that meant we had his services for the first half of the season it would leave the club with a serious problem for the second half, a risk we simply couldn’t afford to take’. But in typical King’s Lynn fashion, Stars team manager Rob Lyon is ready to march on and feel’s optimistic about their 2012 ‘Sky Sports Elite League’ title challenge, ‘In all honesty it would have been a blockbuster signing for the fans having Nicki in the team, but we would have been very top heavy and it was obviously not meant to be. Instead we are going for strength in depth similar in similar style to Eastbourne who finished Elite League runners-up last season. Neils will be our number 1 ;D and I will work with him on becoming a more consistent rider, while Mads is great rider and I can see him adding a point to his average. At reserve it now means we will be very strong with David Howe and his double up partner starting at number 6, David is one of the best number 1’s in the Premier League and a rider who once had an Elite League average in excess of six points!’ The Stars will be announcing another signing on Monday with a second to follow later in the week, they then plan to reveal their final line up at a supporters meeting which will take place in the Linnet Lounge at King’s Lynn Town Football Club on Thursday 22nd December, starting at 7:30pm. kingslynnweb

Best track - check Best team spirit - check Best team manager - check Best fans - check Best management - check Best Food - check Best stadium - check Best rates of pay - ;D Best bet for wooden spoon - check

With the signing of Kevin Wolbert to join David Howe, Mads "Dusty Bin" Kornielusen and PUK at number one, I think we can safely declare that we have found a side who are a lot lot worse than us. I couldn't be more pleased for our six fingered cousins and the numpties who run the show. Here's to a long and expensive season for them and the biggest reality check ever for their supporters.

To be fair I am yet to see a side that does look a sight better than us, all of them seem to be having to include riders that dont exactly inspire anyone.

We haven't got anyone who makes me think "Jeez are things that bad" but those others named elsewhere seem to have someone in who does. However, having Prem riders in the main body and not at reserve where they should be says more about where the Elite league isn't these days

Give it another couple of years and there will be little difference between Elite and Prem so they might as well bring in some more restrictive rules and merge both leagues. If cutting your cloth accordinly means being a third world speedway nation then they might as well continue the process Take Coventry for instance, the haven't got an 8 point rider, have Summers in the main body and are scraping the barrell with 6.53 left for 2 reserve: what a dogs' dinner

I will never forget the victory at Kings Lynn early in the season!!

I will never forget the victory at Kings Lynn early in the season!! I agree but it really was a chalk and cheese situation with every match being a 3rd round cup tie as the big boys came to take on the young upstarts who were well up for the fight. What we have now is serious mediocrity and merging the leagues will not imo make what we have and where we are exciting to 1995 standards
