MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
• This is the 30th league meeting of these clubs, with Peterborough winning 12, Blackpool 10, and seven drawn.
• Blackpool are chasing a fourth successive league win over Posh.
• The Seasiders have only recorded league victories at London Road on three occasions, including their first visit in 1979 and the most recent in April 2010.
Peterborough United
• Posh set out in search of an elusive 900th win in their league history.
• Darren Ferguson's side have won only one of 11 Championship matches, and are in danger of suffering three successive defeats for the second time in under three months, and the third time this season.
• Peterborough have not beaten any of the top seven, and have lost six of their 10 fixtures against clubs in such lofty positions.
Blackpool
• Fifth-placed Blackpool are the only club to have scored in all their Championship games in 2012, and will be looking for three points as an early birthday present for manager Ian Holloway, who turns 49 on Monday.
• Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Derby saw Blackpool losing a league game from a winning position for the first time this season.
• The current return of 56 points after 35 games is their best accumulation for 11 seasons, and six points up on the equivalent stage in 2009/10 when they went on to gain promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

A fabulous performance. Indeed it was! That must have been some dressing room lock in on Tuesday? Having said that, it's not rocket science is it? Just stop being lazy, up your game 20%, be snappier in the tackle, compete for the second ball with your general play moving forwards towards the opposition goal and not sideways or backwards It was very helpful to be playing a team that didn't park the bus. Blackpool were ridiculously open at the back and Posh should have gone in at least 4 up at the break. Ferguson chose a much more balanced side and it was no surprise that Posh's improvement coincided with Boyd's improved performance on the left side of midfield with Rowe playing just behind him which is a lethal combination. "but there was to be no comeback from the Seasiders. Rowe wriggled free and set up Boyd to drill home a decisive third and add gloss to a convincing victory for the hosts." BBCThe third goal was 4 passes from Posh's 18 yard box to Blackpool's net. What that quote doesn't mention is Brisley's (looks like another good find ) superb 40 yard pass out to the left wing
