Triple world champion Jason Crump says he “should be fully fit” when he arrives at Terenzano for the FIM Fogo Italian SGP on Saturday.
The Bristol-born man, who celebrates his 37th birthday on Monday, underwent surgery to plate a broken collarbone on July 21 after crashing at Russian track Vladivostok on July 19. Just seven days later, Crump produced an heroic track return to storm to the FIM Fogo Croatian SGP semis and notch nine vital World Championship points. This upped his season tally to 87. He is now just 10 points behind series leader Greg Hancock in third place and four adrift of Gorican winner Nicki Pedersen, who is second overall. Having got through his comeback meeting, Crump is determined to step up his title challenge in Terenzano and hopes to add to the SGP gold medal he won in Copenhagen in June. He told his official website: “I am looking forward to Italy and should be fully fit by the time I get there. “My collarbone is fine; it’s just the muscle area around the shoulder, neck and arm area that is still repairing itself and that is getting better every day. “With five rounds to go, I need a good result at all of them and another couple of Grand Prix wins would be nice. I will be giving it my best shot.”

f.f.s lindback i was counting my money on emil, what a 5hite meeting And that's supposed to be the best our sport offers It was dross wasnt it, the first genuine overtake was Jonsson pipping Crump on the line in heat 5 and to be fair if you went off the inside line you went backwards.

It was like Lakeside with riders going backwards on the corners before they went forwards, absolute guff, #GoMo at least I turned it off to watch that

Dreadful meeting. Why is it even there? Sparse crowd and awful prepared track (or not as the case may be). For the sake of the dwindling crowds this place needs to be struck off along with Prague. The only positive was having an each way on Emil.

Did Sky apologise for Pedersen's language? I'm sure I heard a F*** when he wasn't a happy bunny in the pits

With Hampel and Vaculik surely nailed on then spare places are already at a premium

That was the biggest load of old rubbish I have watched for many a year and judging by the crowd, numbers, entirely predictable. Why on earth does that rubbish hole get a GP each year?
