The first Czech Republic FIM Speedway Grand Prix was held in Prague on 17 May 1997. The Marketa Stadium in Prague is the only venue ever used for the Czech Republic FIM Speedway Grand Prix and it will host its seventeenth annual Czech Republic FIM Speedway Grand Prix in 2013.

Prague is a lovely city but the track I am afraid is hopeless, it's slicker than Lakeside and that's saying something.

Hopefully Eurosport have had a say in early negotiations about what they expect for their money and we see some shale - we live in hope I have already asked the question with regards to Prague and Terenzano this year under Olssons new plans for tracks and was told their isnt much that can be done to improve them bearing in mind what's already in place, so not expecting much difference to be honest. I think the expression " you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear" fits these two tracks unfortunately.

Difficult to overlook the flying Rusky but my money is going on Gollem. Odds on that it will be a boreathon.

Gone with Gollem with Lindback as the outsider. So you can be sure it will be Rusky, Hampel or Pedersen. 😄 He who gates first here I imagine.

Only 1 person going to win this meeting and that's Emil Sayfudinov.
The best rider in the world.

He chucked it away, Can't believe he touched the tapes. Woffinden's on fire, Him and Smolinski must be sharing some tips. Good to see Iversen out of his depth yet again in the Grand Prix series... Can't stand him and I hope he goes back to being his usual self.

Odds on that it will be a boreathon. It was as per usual. Natural watering (rain) usually makes for good racing but that track is just not condusive to good racing. Worst of all, some bozo thought it'd be a good venue for the meeting formerly known as the World Team Cup.

It did liven up a bit towards the end but as a lot of people say Prague just isn't a good racing track (bit like Lakeside but bigger).

Woffy woffy woffy 😱 Well who would predicted that when the wild cards were picked??? If you're gating then will always have a chance at this awful race track. He has certainly stepped up another level, more like two. Not sure if he'd have beaten Emil - shame we didn't get the chance to see it. Please take track off the GP menu - it's so predictably boring.

Crowd numbers looked very poor to me - its definitely not a venue you would consider going back to. Attendance in Prague must be on the slide so why have the WTC there
