Since its creation in September 2006, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has given sides from the Football League the chance to experience the highs and lows of a classic knock-out tournament. As a Brentford Supporter who has suffered the highs and lows over the years ( mainly lows) I can say with total confidence that this will be an easy victory for Posh.

It wasn't easy but Posh continue to ride their luck and grind out results without the early season freescoring domination. Divs 1 & 2 are a slog against sides mainly set up not lose, defend, niggle, kick ankles and break up play ie. they are not very good. Posh go into the draw after a 2-1 victory in front of a very healthy 5,000 £5 crowd. Draw for Area quarter-finals: Saturday 12th October

Interesting that the attendance was 5,000 on £5 entry compared to normal entry rates.
My expert reckons that they would have struggled to get 1500 at normal match rates.
I was also told that the £5 entry will be applied to the Dagenham match, It will be interesting to see if this significantly affects the attendance again.

Bare bones in at full price but a whopping discount draws them in, and at Area QF stage it should at worst do the same again.
