Just about as good as it could get, bar one. Vaculik stated a few weeks ago he wanted out of the GP's for a couple of seasons.

Vaculik stated a few weeks ago he wanted out of the GP's for a couple of seasons. Sounds a bit like the Woffinden strategy:Slovak star Martin Vaculik is determined to benefit from his FIM Speedway Grand Prix baptism of fire, despite missing out on a spot for 2014.The Zarnovica-born rider finished 14th in the World Championship on 62 points – leaving him 44 points short of automatic qualification for next year’s series. Despite winning the Gorzow SGP on his competition debut as a substitute rider in June 2012, Vaculik found it hard to deal with the extra pressure that comes with being a Grand Prix regular. The talented Tarnow and Vargarna rider is determined to bounce back once he has regained his consistency in the Swedish and Polish leagues, and he admits a tough year among the SGP elite will benefit him in the long run. He said: “I’m happy I got the chance to race in the Grand Prix. I want to say a big thanks to BSI. Being part of the top 15 riders in the world was awesome. “I can see I’m still not ready for it yet. But this year has given me a lot of experience. I will profit from this in the future. I will come back and fight to be world champion. “I can’t buy the experience I have gained. Sometimes you have to take one step back to take two forward. I’m happy and I can just focus on next season. I want to be fast in the leagues.” sgp

British Speedway should start around April 5 so if we're not going with GP tarts then there is no need to start in the freezing & dark middle of March to give them engine testing facilities at our expense, prior to their first proper meeting.

7 of the 12 rounds in Poland, Sweden or Denmark. Not really the idea of a GP.

It's not any of the 7 from the major speedway nations. Does that justify us having two or 3 in the calendar? Depending on where they are held I doubt that we'd get 40,000 for the three. Our domestic product is Third World, much like most of the Best of British speedway I hate to talk us down but using a joker and still finishing behind Latvia in the 2013 SWC

I cannot say I am a big fan of the SWC, personally I think the tac joker ruins it as the events in the last few years have shown, riders deliberately pulling up or trying to come last crosses the line in my opinion.

Oh yes, Ole. Silly me. My preference would be each country gets one round, maybe an exception for the European GP (whatever that means but gives Poland an excuse for two).

Wouldn't that be like POSH not entering the FA Cup. We need to enter to highlight how far we are falling behind. I'm all for the SWC, but every 2 years would be my preference. Agree the tac joker does make it a farce, that rule has to go.
