KING’S Lynn will compete in the World Speedway League event in Gorzow, Poland on Saturday April 25.The Stars will face opposition from the hosts and representatives from Sweden (Elit Vetlanda) and Denmark (Holsted), and have recruited Polish ace Piotr Protasiewicz – who started his British career with King’s Lynn – to replace Niels-Kristian Iversen, who will be riding for Gorzow.Stars promoter Keith Chapman said: “Taking part in this event will help us establish ourselves on the international speedway map and allow us to explore more ways to move the club forward.“When I first got the call about taking part, it didn’t take long before agreeing to do it. Taking our team over to Gorzow will be a real boost for the club and I am sure Rob (Lyon) and the boys will do a good job.”
Onwards and upwards for the 30 pieces of silver Stars with their best Poole loanee choosing to ride for the opposition
