Peterborough United climbed to eighth position in League One after their first win at Swindon in nine years.
Swindon started well with Ben Gladwin twice going close from range, but the visitors went ahead with a Jon Taylor volley from Jermaine Anderson's cross.
Lee Angol doubled the lead, tapping in from less than a yard after an error by keeper Lawrence Vigouroux.
Posh midfielder Michael Bostwick headed Anton Rodgers' free-kick into his own net, but they held on for the win.
