Doesn't do much for me but I'll dip in and out of it (probably record and FF to speed things up and cut the waffle):
Event 1: Saturday 23rd July 2016 - Vojens, Denmark
Event 2: Tuesday 26th July 2016 - Vastervik, Sweden
Race Off: Friday 29th July 2016 - Manchester, United Kingdom
Final: 30th July 2016 - Manchester, United Kingdom

I find it too long and quite predictable/uninteresting early doors. The race off is a bit better but the thought of GB straight to the final could be quite embarrassing. We'd scrape out of event 1 or 2 before bombing out of the race off if it wasn't in this country.

Event 1: Saturday 23rd July 2016 - Vojens, Denmark Looks like Poland, Denmark, Russia, Czech to me. I don't think that Denmark are strong enough despite home advantage.

Personally I really enjoy the World Cup and will be heading off to Manchester in a week and a bit for the final.
Lets hope that Panthers direct route to the final of the fours wont be embarrassing as it seems very similar to GB's seeding to the final

Well event 1 was reasonably entertaining. Not often, if at all, you'll hear me say that about the SWC. Lucky boys and girls who get to see Emil Sayfutdinov in Manchester. He's in my top 3 of riders I would cross the road to watch (especially at the EoES), along with Jason Crump and Darcy Ward.
Event 1 result: 1 pl POLAND 39 - FINAL 2 dk DENMARK 36 - RACE OFF 3 ru RUSSIA 32 - RACE OFF 4 cz CZECH REPUBLIC 19 - ELIMINATED

Well Event 2 looked to be a bit of a lemon (no pun intended) but warmed up and produced some cracking top class action:
POS TEAM PTS 1 se SWEDEN 48 2 au AUSTRALIA 37 3 us USA 22 (That's USA or Greg Hancock's no hopers as they are known in the trade) 4 de GERMANY 19
The aptly named joker produced the usual joker of a race, ridden in the style of The Honourable Arthur Wilson (also known as Sergeant Wilson).
This isn't it but is proper speedway:

Well I recorded the Race-off and gave it 8 races before hitting the delete button. I thought that it was dross, and Readypower Holder also makes me feel queasy. The comedy value was Rossiter saying that it looked to be one of the toughest race offs for years. Hancock free USA wouldn't even be worth a place in event 1 or 2 so him dipping out effectively turned it into a poor 3 team tournament. As I post this I've no idea how it finished?
All systems go now for England, sorry Team GB, to come last? They'd also have struggled to come through qualification so can hopefully put on a reasonable performance to match their good fortune.

I don't think that the camera positions worked, it was too often like watching through binoculars. That seems to happen a fair amount on TV speedway these days. I'm not sure that they make too much effort to capture the action as best they can. The British Final seemed ok though so I don't know what the difference was there? I thought that the track was good for that then but yesterday put a dent in that thinking. The race off should have 4 decent sides in it but it had 2 & Emil Sayfutinov. Hancockless USA were pointless. That certainly didn't help matters. For our sport's national stadium it's typical British job. The track is allegedly modelled on Torun but we can't decide whether it is, and the stadium appears not to be. Let's see if those views change this evening.

Judging by the many comments I didn't miss anything, let's hope GB does better this evening. Much better this evening with a quality field and full house of paying punters. Team GB surprised, making the most of home advantage to take the silver medal. The question is, can they kick on to do it elsewhere in future? Considering it was a PL team plus Woffinden they did bloody well. Poland = 391. Piotr Pawlicki 0, 3, 2, 2, 3 = 10 2. Bartosz Zmarzlik 1, 3, 3, 1, 3 = 11 3. Patryk Dudek 3, 1, 1, 2, 3 = 10 4.
