When he first came on to the scene he seemed to be the missing link as England were lacking a quality keeper at that time. However, over time he lost his way for England (not helped by Hodgson's England with it's lack of defensive quality and clueless tactics) and the high profile sub standard performances (both on the pitch and in those bloody advertisements) at the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Euros have now cost him dear at club level as well. Guardiola doesn't rate him and drops him for a worse keeper in the first two Man City matches. Does Hart stay or go?
ENGLAND 1 Dier (73') RUSSIA 1 Berezutski (90'+2)- HT 0-0
I can't get quite as positive as I've just read on the BBC. That was a poor Russian side & we could easily have lost that. Yes it was more attacking and positive but if you can't stick the ball in the net and see off these teams then what's changed?
Raheem Sterling - bloody hell, how rubbish was he. Pep Guardiola will turn Sterling into a great player or ship him out in the not too distant future. Same with Head and Shoulders man between the sticks. He never inspires confidence.
Hart is a liability. He's not helped by a poor defence in front of him but Bale's free kick and Iceland's second were easy saves for a top class keeper. Right footers on the left and taking unfit players, when will England ever learn. As for tired players, look at the other teams who have players that have done a full Premiership season, they don't look too tired.
Pep agrees with Rigsby, they all do in the end
