Legend Mck Poole, always remember his first meeting for us - shame he was as bad at cheating as Hancock. Might have to use that video on the BSF, ha ha.

Joined Panthers to gain more experience - took most by surprise scoring well on debut, guessing about 9+ that night. Finished on a credidible +7 point average. A real Panthers legend I always enjoyed watching. My point was he said he was openly cheating in that particular race. According to my interpretation of the rules could and should have been excluded.

The Poole man (not a Readypower Dorset Panthers type) can do no wrong in my book so we'll skip that. I just remember watching him at The Groveway, Milton Keynes and thought that the new Aussie will struggle on that tiddler, but he gated and rode the first turn tight as if on rails. Panthers riders tended to give it a handful and fly off towards the bend 2 fence. Not Mick Poole, a special talent.

One of my favourite all time Panthers and I have his race jacket from his last Peterborough meeting, a true legend. Certainly one of the best trappers we ever had and was as cool as a cucumber when it really mattered. A really nice guy as well

All time Panthers great. Who can forget the epic 3 times run race off at Coventry against Robert Nagy for the riders championship at Coventry (92 I believe), or picking himself off the track to win the 4TT against Les Collins and Martin Goodwin, so many great memories of the man. A hero to my daughters - every time we came back from a trip into Peterborough we had to go via Turves just to see if we could see him!!

So he did. I just watched it all through It was a bit blatant. He was miles faster than the others. Should have just claimed that the ignition timing slipped or there was dirt in the carb jet. That would have been 50 pages on the BSF these days!
