Hi I am struggling with the situation regarding SHANES, the conversion of riders from PREM to CHAMPS league is in place, so why does it not effect him, an average of 2 maintained in the PREM league (and since 23rd his has gone up), should not be allowed to cover a 2 in THE CHAMPS, should be a 3+ at least. Like to help you Jim but take no interest in averages whatsoever. I just go with what's published without bothering how the figure was arrived at. It's all over complicated to cause confusion. It always has been but seems much worse these days when the opposite should be happening, and I guess that's the intention? Therefore, I'm not surprised that you're struggling. I don't even understand the question

Jim Shanes average should have gone up from 2.00 on the 6th June following completion of the 4h and 4a matches which the rules say should be effective 7 days later (13th June), along with rest of the Premiership nothing changed in that league until All teams had completed the required 4h and 4a by which time a lot of riders had gone well past having there averages updated, that of course happened despite fully amending the championship In accordance with the rules. His average is now 2.11 which for Championship conversion is now multiplied by 1.2 (2.53) No supplementary rule or notice has been issued by the BSPA or SCB since the season started to explain why the Premiership riders were not allocated new averages in accordance with the current regulations, these regs were followed to the letter by Championship riders and teams. Shanes wasn't the only rider to benefit.
