At the AGM last night the balance sheet showed a total made in 2018 to be £16,784.
To the best of my knowledge that’s nearly 3k up on 2016 and it’s a superb effort from all supporters who joined the supporters club and who support events organised by them.
The main earners in 2017 were the
50-50 draws on match nights = £5,719 ( half paid out in prizes) Raffles at all events = £3,030 Pre Season and End of season Parties = £1,447 Quiz, Darts and Games nights = £1,366 Race Night = £1,068 Annual Draw = £780
Profit made goes towards club expenses, Showground maintenance, purchase of equipment, trophies, Panthers Riders Teamwear and a host of other things, We also purchased a large Portakibin that will host the VIP ST Holders this year which sits adjoining the pits.

Can't argue with that. Good effort from all concerned. b0252

Peterborough Panthers club owner Ged Rathbone would like to publicly thank Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters Club (PPSSC) for their fantastic support during 2017 following on from their recent AGM.
The supporters club raised a significant sum for the club last year through various means including quiz nights, a race night, pre and end of season events, raffles, prize draws and donations as well adult and junior class membership. Rathbone went on to say how thrilled he is by the support Peterborough Speedway has received behind the scenes from PPSSC;
"Obviously I'd like to thank outgoing Chairman James Arnold for his hard work and contribution over the last two years and also I would like to welcome Richard Lewis to the chair, and of course I look forward to working with him and the rest of the committee over the coming season and continuing the fantastic relationship we now have with the supporters club".
The new PPSSC committee for 2018 is as follows;
President:- Richard Greer Chairman:- Richard Lewis Vice Chairman:- Terry Richardson Secretary:- Katy Lewis Treasurer:- Yvonne Edey Committee:- James Arnold, Jeanette Arnold, Kay Lewis, Pauline Rowley and Jane Snow.
