Brentford moving to new stadium near Kew during coming season. This is the year owner Mathew Benham has earmarked for promotion to Premier League. Can't see it happening myself or whether it is desirable .

Can't see it happening myself or whether it is desirable . Heard it all before with Posh. It's possible but unlikely and all clubs have their real level. When the novelty wears off they revert to where they should be. I'd say that Brentford are punching above their weight already and promotion would be a short term shot in the arm but there's no harm in ambition. |

I never saw Brentford when they were in the old First Division but have a newspaper cutting somewhere from 1950's with a report on a game Brentford 5 Liverpool 0.
