Well that was my first Posh visit since early 2017 and I didn't see anything to convince me that regular attendace was once again worth consideration. Just the usual lack of quality and ideas on the pitch and no fun travelling, parking up and getting to your seat - all that for a bargain £26+£4 parking Two poor looking sides tbh although Pompey never really got tested by innefective Posh so hard to know whether they are better than just a big side that frustrates and defends. Since the early D'Mac days I've rarely seen Posh attack at speed, in numbers and use the width of the pitch; and yesterday suggested this lot will not change that. In fact it says something when for all the change in player personnel, the out of favour Marcus Maddison is still the best player at the club and Evans sits him on the bench. Said all season squad not good enough and so it has proved. Darren F has made us better and let's see what he can do with a full summer behind him. And one final thought, I like Marcus Maddison, he's talented, but he is no Messiah.Said that (apart from the DF bit of course) in August. It was just 11 blokes with blue shirts without any outstanding features. A substitution was never more pointless with that squad as it truly was like for like of nothingness and left you wondering what the point was. It'll help in 2019/20 if D'Mac doesn't tell everyone in July that DF has the best squad outside Barcelona!

Sod's Law when you bring up a thread and make a comment Ivan Toney scored twice as Peterborough won 3-2 at Portsmouth to end the hosts' dream of automatic promotion and keep alive their own play-off hopes. Posh remain seventh but are one point behind sixth-placed Doncaster Rovers heading into the final round of fixtures on Saturday.
So it's all down to Posh beating Burton at London Road on Saturday whilst hoping that Doncaster don't do likewise at home to Coventry. It's out of their hands unfortunately although Posh need to do their bit to put pressure on Doncaster.
