If anybody watches Eastenders you will see from time to time a Painting in Dot Cotton's house of some Swans on a lake. This is actually a painting by numbers effort. In the 1960's I did a similar painting . My Painting has long since gone, and I have never seen the set for sale or a completed one anywhere else. As at the time I lived in roughly the same area as the studious where Eastenders is filmed I often wonder whether it is the painting I did that they found and used. I must be due royalties if so.

Generally one would say coincidence Rodders but as you have some contact with the locality then you never know? Would you know your work by say texture, colour, brush strokes and/or going over a line in reckless fashion I've never watched Eastenders though so wouldn't have seen it. In fact I've given up on Emmerdale which is the only soap that I did watch. It was never great but has turned into a politically correct, Neighbours in the Dales will copius amounts of bullshit (I would say Mind Your (or my) Language but saw in the paper the other day that that's now one of the programmes of it's time consigned to a backroom cupboard).

As it was only painting by numbers it is unlikely to reflect my artistic talent which is zilch, however I still have a strong feeling that this was the one I did. In any case the least they could do was let me have a free TV license

Cant be sure but I don't think so To be more precise the painting in question as I said was a painting by numbers effort ( do they still do those) It was over 50 years ago and I immediately recognised the one Dot Cotton had as the same picture I did, think there was more swan and not so much scenery as the one you show.
