Well deserved 3-0 Posh win. The home side had already taken Sunderland apart before the away side self destructed and went down to 9 players following two red cards, not that it made any difference as they would have been well beaten and second best after 90 mins even with 11 left on the pitch. It's been a long time since watching Posh go sideways and backward wasn't the main discussion point but this a performance was on the front foot using the talents of the squad in the dangerous areas of the pitch going forwards. Long may that continue at London Road in 2019/20. Defence looked solid and a far cry from the first two home matches when it looked really poor. Midfield looking much more competitive with Reed and Knight real plus points. Then there's Eisa and Toney, pushing, pulling, backing in, niggling, falling over, whining and being general pain in the arse for defenders. A good day's work for the men in blue.Posh up to 7th in the table b0252

Peterborough United made it three league wins in a row with a 3-0 home victory against nine-man Sunderland.
Black Cats fan Marcus Maddison scored a stunning 30-yard free-kick and a sweeping finish either side of Josh Knight's first goal for the club.
The visitors then had Luke O'Nien and Charlie Wyke sent off in the space of six second-half minutes.
Maddison, who scored a 35-yard stunner at MK Dons in his last match, fizzed a free-kick into the net after 36 minutes to liven up a drab first half.
Knight then drilled in a low finish past Jon McLaughlin after 52 minutes from the right-hand side of the area to cap a sweeping counter-attack, before Maddison started and finished another excellent break 12 minutes later.
George Boyd's deflected left-wing cross came to the forward inside the area and he found the opposite corner to spark jubilant scenes.
Sunderland, who were on a five match winning run in all competitions, had O'Nien sent off for an altercation with Posh's Ivan Toney on 71 minutes, then Wyke's late challenge on Dan Butler six minutes later earned him a second yellow.
