Sad that the Cup has now faded into what it now is. As a boy the Cup was regarded as more important and prestigious than the league. I used to cycle to Wembley on Cup Final Day to get a programme . I lived more or less on route to the Stadium and coaches stopped at local pub going and coming. Often football supporters would end the day at Ice Hockey at Empire Pool. A wonderful day.
NB There is no such road as Wembley Way it is called Olympic Way

I guess the police just want coaches in and out of the area and on the motorway asap these days. We don't do wonderful days in that context any more. Can't see Posh getting anything at Burnley but Brentford should comfortably see off Stoke unless they prioritise promotion to the Premier League which in effect will only be a relegation battle (and manager sacking) in 2020/21.

Both Brentford and Stoke said not to be putting out their first teams. Qlympic Way/ Wembley Way has long been a bee in my bonnet , there is no such road as Wembley Way it has become known as that colloqially mainly due to Sports commentators . To risk boring people the first Brentford match I saw was in 1962 when they were drawn at home to one of my other clubs Wealdstone in London Charity Cup. Brentford had been relegated to the then Fourth Division but had assembled a team that went on to be promoted that year. Clearly I still follow Brentford as I do Wealdstone. 4th Division Champion ship winning side 1962/3 Ryecraft ,Coote, Anthony, Higginson, Scott, Crowe, Block,Brooks, McAdams, Dick, McCleod Agree that if Brentford get promoted they will be relagated first season,, does not follow the manager will be sacked as under owner Mathew Benham they have a long term plan starting with new ground at Kew.

Both Brentford and Stoke said not to be putting out their first teams. Talksport just said that Burnley have already said that they will be putting out their second string against a stuttering Posh 1st string so who knows. Says much about the importnce of the cup as you say. Winning breeds confidence so I'd put the first team out and tell them to get the job done quickly so they can coast in the latter stages of the match. Assuming that Boyd is playing (ex Burnley) I'd take him to score first because Posh are good at that before the usual 2-1 or 3-1 defeat.
