Whilst I have every sympathy with those suffering and have suffered,I find it difficult to have empathy with the rush towards legal action .

Whilst I have every sympathy with those suffering and have suffered,I find it difficult to have empathy with the rush towards legal action . Surely it's a pretty new phenomenon in terms of those possible consequences so I'm not sure what prosecution's case will be unless Keir Starmer is their brief because his hindsight is amazing. Two other thing that struck me here is firstly that boxers spend most of their time getting blows to the head but I don't recall any being struck by dementia? Secondly, speedway riders have a career with many heavy blows to the head (albeit within a crash helmet) but I don't recall too many being affected by this terrible disease which, after all, is a potential consequence of old age, like many ailments, anyway? (Ivan Mauger I seem to recall unfortunately had this horrible disease?).
