Ten teams are set to compete in the Polish Ekstraliga from 2012 and clubs will be restricted to just one Grand Prix rider as the world’s top domestic league bids to cut costs.
The division is currently made up of eight teams with the top six contesting the championship play-offs and the bottom two meeting in a relegation survival contest.
But with a number of sides struggling financially in recent years, the Poles will reportedly announce plans to expand the league and allow each club to select just one World Championship regular.
Teams must also pick four Polish riders to reduce the cost of flying in stars from overseas.
Gorzow president Wladyslaw Komarnicki told sportowefakty.pl: "I warmly welcome the fact that only one Grand Prix rider will be able to compete in the team.
"This is a step in the direction of savings. I am also pleased the line-ups will allow room for four Polish riders.
"I take these charges very positively because I was one of the people who opted for them.”
While the British Elite League is in crisis with champions Coventry and Peterborough seemingly out of the competition for 2011, it appears things are even more bleak in the Czech Republic.
Only Pardubice, Prague and Mseno are said to have confirmed their intentions to run in the top flight next term.

Good to see some forward thinking rather than knee jerk administration.
