BACH SIGNS IN
BIRMINGHAM Speedway can reveal Danish Under-21 international Rene Bach as their first signing of the Elite League era.
Bach, 20, won the World Under-21 Team Cup with a 15-point maximum for his nation in September and he will double-up with Premier League Newcastle.
And on four visits to Perry Barr with the Diamonds in the 2010 season he scored in excess of 40-points.
Brummies boss Graham Drury said: “Rene is highly rated by Newcastle and likes the Perry Barr track, he has done well here when visiting with Newcastle.
“He averaged over nine-points in the Premier League and helped Newcastle to a very successful season. The fact that we have been able to sign him to double-up for us is a real feather in our cap.
“The lad is very keen to ride for us too, that’s an important factor. I’m sure he will do a good job for the team.
“I can also confirm I have been talking to a number one rider and, as previously stated, we have permission from Peterborough to speak to Hans Andersen but he is not our only option. We will issue an update as and when we make progress.”

I think Bratters promised Bach a place in the Panthers team a couple of years ago. At least hes kept his promise. Im sorry but every time I see another rider disappear over the horizon to another club I get even more annoyed. If anyone still has rose coloured spectacles on please take them off, Im fed up with the please be patient tag line from the club, for once just be open and honest with the fans.

Here here any lingering hope we had is now well and truly gone

Hardly surprising, it's more civil partneship than signing for the brokeback brummies ;D I see Newborough boy get a mention at his local track, funny that

Unfortunately I agree, they're making Horton look competent and that's not easy.

It also seems that it is now confirmed that the block imposed by the BSPA regarding other clubs talking to riders only applies to Coventry and not us, therefore making it more and more obvious that we and they have a different agenda. Clearly the Frosts have no intention of going back into Elite league regardless of the out come of any legal action.

All this hiding behind legal challenges is a kop out I reckon. At least the DoS is able to busy himself with columns in the Speedway Star and Daily Star.

Bees will not run Elite next season, I know of 3 of their riders who have signed elsewhere.
