Just had an E mail from my energy supplier that I should increase my Direct Debit for next year to £287 a month. 18 months ago it was £94 and I ended up in credit. Clearly the main reason is the idiots who made us reliant on Russia, I feel very much that the utilities should never have been privatised , and that those who lead the country of whatever political persuasion have no concept of the situation of the ordinary man in the street. I have double glazing , cavity wall insulation and A rated boiler.

Politics & politicians, short termism, lack of foresight or what it's like in the real world has indeed got us here in this mess. They are finally seeing that we need energy security without relying on unstable suppliers but I don't know how much bottle they have to do what's necessary? Both main parties are also signed up to the mental green agenda which just adds to bill and is at odds with doing what's required and using our resources. I heard Richard Tice on Talkradio saying that they had to cancel their net zero referendum rally due to intimidation from the powerful green lobby. That just about sums up the way things work these days. Toxic minorities ruling the roost on so many issues. My bill doubled but it wasn't much anyway so I'll cope but there are some shocking stories out there.
