Just read the dreadful news that Nigel Pearson has passed away. I am in total shock, I was always a supporter of Nigel and Kelvin’s commentary. Nigel was a true Speedway supporter. One of our few media outlets that promoted our sport. Will be very much missed. Only aged 52. RIP Nigel.

Very sad!!! Anybody Know cause of death? Not yet in the public domain that I can see. Unconfirmed from Shovlar though on the BSF "it was an aneurysm" - bit silly to post unconfirmed stuff really but then again that's Shovlar all over. Official British Speedway@SpeedwayGB (15/4/22)It is with the deepest sadness and regret that we announce the passing of much loved sport commentator, presenter and journalist, Nigel Pearson, aged 52, earlier today. We ask everyone to fully respect Nigel’s family’s privacy at this time.

Certainly will miss his enthusiasm and superb promotion of our sport. Although they may not have been everyone's cup of tea (but it is a job where you are there to be shot at and the longer you are in position the more ammunition that you give), Pearson & Tatum were liked by the majority and were pretty top notch at their job for a minority sport. Terribly sad end and tough act to follow just as new frontiers were opening up.
