Expect it is only me, but I do get pissed off with inane rubbish on BSF guessing team line up for next season BSF these days is pants Rodders. Most of those who made it interesting no longer support the sport or post on that forum. Flappy is always the same every season (assuming that's who is doing the most?). He's getting rid of riders while they are still riding for the club and then picking a team a day'ish based on guesswork/rumour, mainly from other social media. Just visit sparingly or not at all, you know what you're going to get.

After I read the ET story about Palin I thought that sounds like a potential career ending injury, not that he was in our 2023 plans anyway I would imagine: “My latest scan has shown the healing process is still not complete, which was not what we were expecting to hear.
"There is no one recovery plan that is universal as brain injuries have their own timescale, and that is both frustrating and worrying.
“Although in myself I feel well, I am still not clear to resume any activity that could further aggravate the injury.
“Obviously this includes speedway. The only option available to me is to let the healing continue.
“This is normally a very busy time with securing places for next season and sourcing sponsorship, but I have had to put all of that on hold.
"I will continue to have regular consultations and scans, but I have to defer any decisions until I’m cleared.www.headway.org.uk/I didn't post on the back of it but I've just seen Dick's post on the BSF so here's the current state of play (also now in the ET)? PALIN TO MISS ’23 SEASON Wednesday, November 2, 2022 (britishspeedway)SCUNTHORPE have confirmed youngster Jordan Palin will sit out the 2023 season as he continues to recover from a serious crash this year. Palin, who also rode for Peterborough in the Premiership, suffered a bleed on the brain in the accident at Belle Vue when taking part in a GB training session, and he recently announced the healing process is still not complete. Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: “From the moment he crashed at Belle Vue until recently, Jordan was in my team plans for Scunthorpe for next season. “He’s such a talented lad, and he’s achieved so much during his time in his relatively short time as a professional speedway rider, so he’s always been at the top of the list of riders we wanted back. “I totally understand his decision not to race next season. His family is part of the Scunthorpe Speedway family, and naturally we wish the lad well. “It was a big blow, but since we found out Jordan wasn’t going to be back, our team planning has gone down another route and we’re putting together an exciting side for next season.”

More comment on BSF that Panthers dropping down to Championship , hopefully rubbish but one wonders following last weeks debacle and the usual deafening silence from the bosses

I'm sure that the delay is about management/owner/club administration & long term future etc (not too difficult for that to cause a delay). I can't see us dropping down but it could have been agreed at the pre meeting & can't be announced until after the AGM, so who knows? Watch this space. As long as Horton/Watson isn't part of any package.

BSF saying that in Stock Car world pretty common knowledge that Chapman has sold both KL and Panthers Speedway Just had a look and it's quite tiring reading all of that crap, with Flappy, as per usual, wetting himself about his special friend Tomlin, unsubstantiated crap without evidence and endless pointless teams being posted. Chapman wanted out so it's no surprise if he has sold up one or both, although the timing is given that Panthers are allegedly on life support?

More comment on BSF that Panthers dropping down to Championship , hopefully rubbish but one wonders following last weeks debacle and the usual deafening silence from the bosses Usual rubbish from those who think that they know something. Don't wonder Rodders, just treat with extreme caution. Throw enough darts and you'll hit the target at some point even though 99.9% fly by into the distance never to be seen again. That's BSF participation strategy.

FFS tell us what you are doing, and who now is the owner . No good shouting on here Rodders. We have 12 members (I'm 2 of the 13 ) with only a handful making an occasional meaningful contribution. Only Dick might potentially be in the know to some extent because I doubt that anyone else on here is so we'll know in good time like everyone else. We can only hope that if there is new ownership that an effective, competent press officer is part of the package.

I’m sick and fed up with rumours and twats building dream teams on the BSF. The official website is dreadful, nothing to keep supporters interest. Who the F is running this club?? Whoever it is, the limited numbers are vital.

I only wish I did know but unfortunately in this instance I don’t, I am aware that David Rowe who was dealing with our press enquiries has now replaced the late Nigel Pearson as the BSPL press officer so where that leaves Peterborough in unknown to me at this point. I am aware of the strong rumours regarding new ownership at both Peterborough and Lynn and having heard it from various sources I do think their is something in it, but it’s dragging on a bit even for speedway. It’s interesting in the fact I have heard very little over the last few months and I do wonder if a strict no talking clause has been installed because this situation is very different to recent years when information was generally forthcoming. Having said that both Carl Johnson and Rob Lyon were very confident about the future when I spoke to them at the end of season event so I dare say things should be clearer sometime soon.

We all understand that there are genuine reasons why in some cases information has to be limited. Possibly the bosses think there is a good reason in this case!! To the paying public however it comes across a further example of the poor attitude of management towards fans.

Going by flappy & and couple of others on the BSF you'd think that someone was leaking like a sieve? Without full disclosure and ongoing commentary I doubt that fans will ever be happy. Fans/employees etc are usually the last to know & have to be thankful for whatever snippets are given, as well as the final outcome. That's the way of the world Rodders and speedway is particularly crap at times with its communication. Not much that we can do about it I'm afraid, it'll never change. If it's not Michael Tomalin then the credibility of some posters is down the toilet He seems to be the only runner in the field so there must be a lot of i's to dot & a lot to t's to cross

Well, as expected Harris has gone. F all from those that we should have got this news from!!! Very much doubt you are surprised. Most news / rumours from major sports comes from the media, we are an amateur sport that most people have no idea it exists. The GP’s are on a much higher level but still unless you know Speedway or live in Poland no one knows. As long as we have so many planks running the show nothing will change. They don’t know the word ‘marketing’. Given the current state it would probably do more harm than good. IOW are a breath of fresh air, with great ideas for change. Look what happened to them.

Well, as expected Harris has gone. not that fussed to be honest Me neither. He's getting to the point where he can go over the top extremely quickly at his age. I had to laugh at this bit that I've just been reading in one of the Stars that my mate passes to me. Obviously this was made before Harris's signing at Leicester: Berwick are desperate to have me back but we will see what happens because it's been a hard slog this year on the family. My wife has had to look after the kids so much. I've been away for 32 consecutive weekends from March until last weekend that is not just Berwick but the long track as well and doing a bit of Poland. There is a big decision to be made not just for me but for the family as a whole. yet in February of this year he was saying (peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/other-sport/peterborough-panthers-star-bomber-harris-wants-to-race-in-120-meetings-next-season 24/2/22) Peterborough Panthers Chris Harris insists he wants a packed diary this year. With four extra meetings planned for Panthers and a contract with Polish club Poznan in addition to his second tier racing at Berwick, Harris has plenty on his plate. But he is always happy to take more bookings as he wants to make the most of his career as he approaches his 40th birthday in November. “I want to be as busy as possible,” Harris said. “In the past I’ve done 120 meetings in a year and if I can get back up to that sort of number I’ll be happy. What day of the week is it?
