To be fair though Rodders, when has a speedway communication ever delivered and set the pulses racing? It's the "just be patient" messages that are irritating. Colin Horton was cryptic and thought that he was clever so we don't want to follow that path. Of course the new breed of social media supporters fortunately have no experience of how exciting success descended into near disaster?

Its not even being patient is it ? More like put up and shut up Bit harsh. In the days before the internet the only information would come via the ET and likely eventual fans forum. These days everybody wants to scrutinise every bit of business being conducted. I can understand that and think that they could communicate something along those lines. As soon as they break ranks and go on Twitter & Facebook (something Frost never did in 2010) they just create a problem IMO. Tomlin looks like he's going to be one of those if he gats, or has got, the gig?

Somebody mentioned Flappy to me last week and said he was the same on the Posh forums until he got found out and then changed his name to Gaffer. He is guessing like a lot of others and as you say when you name as many riders as he has he is bound to get some right. It's Darren Moody isn't it? Bratters knows him. Moody had a speedway forum going at the same time as Cheesywotsits alternative job. If you look at the ET reports on the Posh when they do Twitter comments, Moody often appears which is why he's so versed on the topic as well. BSF gets there in the end "Hey know who you are now Flappy..Recognise your name from Posh site (Daz)and can guess why you use the name Flappy lol ..Keep your Passion for the Panthers and Posh fella !!"

I hope Richie Worral ain’t in the mix 6.31 for a rider who’s been around for years no way he’ll improve on that average ..he’s 5-5.5 rider at best …poor round showground usually, people think because he had a couple of good meets in 22 he’ll score points would rather take the strop than him and that’s scrapping scraping the barrel.

That's most appropriate for him if so

Peterborough Review in the star this week, good article by Jim Lawrence, SCB Chairman explaining how Lambert ended up at Belle Vue and a review of Programmes in which Peterborough came 5th overall and joint top in the Premiership with Sheffield.
Quite a good read to be honest although no news on Panthers.
Interesting comments regarding the programme that were raised was the articles In Town Tonight, nice balance throughout, quality effort and Features caught the eye, which is funny because I thought it wasn’t that good and a poor read, but clearly others liked it, if I didn’t get it free with my ST I wouldn’t buy it.

PETERBOROUGH have completed the signing of Ben Cook to make his Premiership debut with the club next season.
Cook steps up to the top-flight after two successful seasons with Poole at Championship level, and he will also remain with the Pirates in 2023.
Panthers co-promoter Carl Johnson said: “Ben was always a rider who everybody involved wanted to bring into the club, and from watching his races and talking to different people, he’s someone we feel can do really well in the Premiership.
“He’s quick, he’s lightweight and he’s certainly not afraid to put himself in positions. I think he will make himself a real fans’ favourite in the same way that Benjamin (Basso) did last year when he came into the team.
“Ben is a talented motorcyclist, and I think it’s a good move for him, and obviously for us as a club we know how the Australians love the Showground.
“We’re really looking forward to working with him. I’ve had lots of communication with him, everything is positive from his side, he wants to make the step up and he feels it’s the right time.”

As of 31/12/22 - sorry, it's only confirmed and not Flappy "I think that I know something that you don't" style Cook joins Benjamin Basso as a confirmed starter for the Panthers, giving them two of the league’s rapidly emerging talents, and further announcements are expected early in the New Year. The club would like to wish all their supporters and sponsors a very Happy New Year, and they look forward to providing further information as to 2023 plans over the coming weeks. Panthers web

So do season ticket holders get in or not with their vehicle? Says free parking in main car park (which I'd take to mean the car park?) but then says GATE 16: Blue Badge Holders & Season Tickets? But also, blue badge holders please enter via Gate 2 (main rider entry gate). I'm confused? More so if you look at the club details page which says: Disabled Parking (Inside the Showground) - CLICK HERE to read the notice. Disabled blue badge holders must display their blue badge on entry to the main car park - which I know doesn't apply & is out of date but who is in charge of that crappy site? FFS: Track Record: 57.4 seconds, Danny King (Ipswich) - Heat 3 Peterborough v Ipswich 13.05.19, of course if you read the programme you'll be amazed that Dan Bewley is actually the TRH

So you get two riders correct after naming every possible rider available. Then say you’ve hit another bullseye. As BCD said throw enough you will hit one.

Until the club confirm the 1-7 it’s all guesswork, having said that with all but Leicester confirmed I think as per my own information sources and the circulation rumours, Chris Holder, Hans Andersen and Jordan Jenkins are very strong favourites to be another three and NKI is another I would say is very likely given his friendship with Rob Lyon. As for the final member of the squad, various names have been mentioned including Kenneth Bjerre, Maciej Janowski, Nicki Pedersen, Rohan Tungate and Richie Worrall, at least the first two Basso and Cook are excellent signings so I remain confident we will have a much stronger side that 2022.

I don’t think panthers will be stronger with Nki Andersen Basso Worral Holder Cook Jenkins Surely another heat leader for Worral is answer if Andersen has signed I know up to 2 -3 weeks ago holder was still trying to convince magic to sign

I hope it’s not Pedersen, too many serious accidents, the two last season were very bad. Also think Andersen is now past his sell by date. Agree Basso and B Cook are great signings.

So is it a wow announcement tomorrow or Jordan Jenkins (not that he'd be a let down, just another filling before we get to the important meat in the sandwich).

SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023
PETERBOROUGH have confirmed they will retain Jordan Jenkins in the Rising Star berth for their Premiership line-up this season.
Jenkins joined the Panthers in late May last year and produced some encouraging displays in his debut top-flight campaign, especially during the latter stages.
He said: “In my first few meetings last season I thought I might have made the jump too early, but I persisted at it and I knew what I needed to do.
“It got to a point where I wanted that Premiership spot from day one in 2023, so I needed to show that I could do something.
“I tried something new, I brought back a different engine from Poland, and that seemed to work everywhere. It all added up and it gave me a real boost of confidence, and it was something I wanted when I joined Peterborough.
“I just can’t wait to get started, the team that’s being put together that I know about looks incredible, and I’m going to learn off every single one of them.”
