I’ve always found Home Bargains good value for but as you will know you have to look at the strength. You’re right about Holland and Barrett, seriously expensive.

Communication is so easy.

And FREE. Will they ever learn? Communication costs nothing, even if you don’t have much to say - other than we are thinking of you.

Suspect that season ticket sales are not going so well, hence the reminder on Panthers web site

Suspect that season ticket sales are not going so well, hence the reminder on Panthers web site As you don't do Meta (FB) Rodders you may have missed this? Strong sales allegedly? Although the definition of strong and its criteria is very much in the eye of the beholder: 32 likes which is about 2 or 3 rows of seats in the stand. 36 comments with a mix of supportive diehards and the critical.

No I don't do face book and what bosses say about season tickets is not necessarily factual or their definition of strong sales is different to others.

From the BSF 12/1/23:Who is going to be announced next then? Any guesses? I'll go for Chris Holder. other suggestion: Hans Andersen - yup I'll go for that Was also told today (my source would suggest that it's not a big secret) that Chapman is still in charge and will be for the year? Not sure where that leaves Tomalin? To be honest, I’ve totally lost interest. I don’t know who is in charge now but I do know the communication to the supporters as absolutely abysmal. I’m past caring anymore. It’s been the same for years and it’s a terrible way of treating your fan base. Think I’m done with this amateur managing. Marketing, they have no idea. Which resembles KL. Guess we still have someone in common. I'm in the Hodgy camp tbh. I've lost interest following (or trying to) it!

Peterborough Panthers are on the verge of announcing changes to their club structure for the new Premiership speedway season.Panthers went from heroes to zeroes last year by collecting the wooden spoon less than 12 months after a sensational title win in 2021, and a winter re-build both on and off the track has been taking place. Central to their efforts has been the question of what happens beyond the upcoming campaign, with the Showground site set for redevelopment. The site is set to close for regular events midway through the year, with Panthers being granted a stay of execution with a deal in place to see out the season at the Alwalton venue – but there are currently no guarantees after that. The club has been owned by Keith Chapman since 2019, with the King’s Lynn supremo ( must be a virus one catches when reporting for that two bob rag?) moving in to take over from Ged Rathbone and immediately elevating them back into the top-flight of the sport after a five-year absence. At the very least, Panthers now require a new co-promoter after the sudden departure of Richard Greer in 2022, leaving Carl Johnson as their only licence holder in that department. Team-wise they have three riders confirmed – new signing Ben Cook being joined by returnees Benjamin Basso and Jordan Jenkins – although it is understood several other deals are in place. Five of the seven Premiership clubs have declared their full line-ups, with Ipswich – Panthers’ first opponents in the league on March 23 and March 27 – currently two riders short. A club spokesman said: “We do understand it has been a frustrating winter for supporters, and on a couple of occasions we have had to unavoidably delay making announcements. That doesn’t mean we’ve been inactive, and there have been extensive discussions on a range of issues. “Those involve the team for 2023 but also the even more important matter of the long-term future of the club. That work will continue. “In the meantime we’re committed to putting on a great season, and hopefully the full team will be well received when it is confirmed.” ET 19/1/23

And the next instalment of the farce that is Peterborough Panthers speedway 2023:
Michael Tomalin, a major financier of Peterborough Panthers, is set to join the club’s backroom team - as well as providing a substantial additional sponsorship package.
The lifelong Panthers fan will become a promoter alongside Carl Johnson subject to a successful application to British Speedway Promoters Ltd.
Tomalin, who splits his time between Peterborough and his home base in Belfast, Northern Ireland is already a familiar face at the East of England Arena due to the sponsorship provided by his company, City Auction Group.
There is also a secondary business, PurpleRock, and between the two companies every element of the automotive sector is covered at their Peterborough HQ.
City Auction Group primarily handle corporate auction sale events operating from Peterborough and Belfast supported by ten vehicle delivery centres across the UK and Ireland, whilst PurpleRock deal with vehicle collections, inspection, cosmetic and mechanical repair before vehicles return to the dealer network or alternatively head to the auction lanes to be liquidated!
The name has already been seen at the stadium as PurpleRock previously sponsored Panthers favourite Ulrich Ostergaard, and their backing has now been extended to cover the club as a whole.
Tomalin said: “On the sponsorship side we’ve completed a dual package deal for the Panthers involving both City Auction Group and PurpleRock, and those contributions will be matched between the two companies to ensure Panthers have financial stability throughout the 2023 season.
“In addition to the wonderful backing we get from Crendon as team sponsors it will ensure we’re able to put the right riders on the right equipment to challenge for the Premiership title.
“I’m also delighted to advise I’m applying to become a promoter along with Carl, which I’m delighted about as we have forged a great friendship in recent seasons. It’s an exciting move in the right direction to support the club and ensure we make a significant difference.
“I have a terrific relationship with Buster (Keith Chapman – club owner), Dale (Allitt) and Carl, and I’m sure we will work well as one team building a future for the Peterborough Panthers!
“I watched my first speedway meeting in 1975 as a young boy in the ‘good old days’ of Brian Clark, Ken Matthews and Roy Carter, and I loved it from the moment I watched my first race.
“Although I now live in Northern Ireland with my wife Connie and boys, I have returned back to Peterborough to build a business empire of substantial standing which I’m very proud to lead. I also have my parents in Peterborough who attend every Panthers meeting so the blood line with speedway is well developed over many decades.
“As a businessman I have many corporate partners including manufacturers, leasing companies and major dealer groups within the motor industry, and I’m going down that commercial route to bring in some more significant sponsorship for the Panthers. I want us to be very active commercially, it’s a major piece of the financial jigsaw for the development and future of the speedway club in Peterborough.
“As far as the team is concerned, you can blame me for the late notification of riders due to all the exciting plans at the club which are now confirmed; however, we have a smashing line-up to be announced in the coming weeks, which includes some young sensational racers alongside some experienced well established riders, and I would ask for the supporters to back us by purchasing season tickets and attending our meetings throughout the season.
“We know the team has changed dramatically from last year, but it’s an opportunity for a complete refresh and we want to make an impact and be in the play-offs - from there anything can happen. We want to bounce back from 2022 and go for gold in 2023!”
Panthers expect to be in a position to issue more team news later this month. Their first official fixtures of the new season are against Ipswich in the Premiership, away at Foxhall on Thursday March 23 with the return at home on Monday March 27.

Was quite amused to see a picture with Paul Bristow (local Tory MP) in. I wonder who'll be finished first? Him or Panthers? He'll be out in 2024, probably just before us if we manage a second season at the EoES.

Can someone unpick all this for me ? Seems we are arguably worse off following this statement than we were before. Holder allegedly reneged on agreement to join Panthers and Tomalin and Johnson now lifelong friends. As normal zilch for supporters pay up and shut up.

What an almighty cock up ! A perfect lesson in mismanagement. You have to hand it to Buster and the Mafia on a perfect lesson of how not to run a business. What makes me laugh is that they think people will buy season tickets or pay £22 a match to watch second class crap on a track that has been ruined. Glad I gave up in attending in 2019. R.I.P Panthers.

That was Frosts fundamental and defining mistake Hopefully he's got bratters on speed dial & doesn't make the same mistakes as Frost/Mahoney. I was all season ticket enthusiastic a little while ago but the mood music suggests PAYG is the sensible 2023 option.

Seems to be an alarming similarity between the records of Carl Johnson and Darren Ferguson. Not sure who holds the record of being in then out and back again
