So do season ticket holders get in or not with their vehicle? Says free parking in main car park (which I'd take to mean the car park?) but then says GATE 16: Blue Badge Holders & Season Tickets? But also, blue badge holders please enter via Gate 2 (main rider entry gate). I'm confused? More so if you look at the club details page which says: Disabled Parking (Inside the Showground) - CLICK HERE to read the notice. Disabled blue badge holders must display their blue badge on entry to the main car park - which I know doesn't apply & is out of date but who is in charge of that crappy site? FFS: Track Record: 57.4 seconds, Danny King (Ipswich) - Heat 3 Peterborough v Ipswich 13.05.19, of course if you read the programme you'll be amazed that Dan Bewley is actually the TRH I hope that those buying a season ticket asked on application (if it wasn't made clear at that time, which it may have been?) because rumour is that they could be in for a bit of a shock if they didn't & the concession was important to their decision? (and no don't ask the question on the BSF should you feel minded. Send me a PM if you need to know and check further before you buy)

PETERBOROUGH are delighted to announce major financier Michael Tomalin is set to join the club’s backroom team - as well as providing a substantial additional sponsorship package. The lifelong Panthers fan will become a promoter alongside Carl Johnson subject to a successful application to British Speedway Promoters Ltd. Tomalin, who splits his time between Peterborough and his home base in Belfast, Northern Ireland is already a familiar face at the East of England Arena due to the sponsorship provided by his company, City Auction Group. There is also a secondary business, PurpleRock, and between the two companies every element of the automotive sector is covered at their Peterborough HQ. City Auction Group primarily handle corporate auction sale events operating from Peterborough and Belfast supported by ten vehicle delivery centres across the UK and Ireland, whilst PurpleRock deal with vehicle collections, inspection, cosmetic and mechanical repair before vehicles return to the dealer network or alternatively head to the auction lanes to be liquidated! The name has already been seen at the stadium as PurpleRock previously sponsored Panthers favourite Ulrich Ostergaard, and their backing has now been extended to cover the club as a whole. Tomalin said: “On the sponsorship side we’ve completed a dual package deal for the Panthers involving both City Auction Group and PurpleRock, and those contributions will be matched between the two companies to ensure Panthers have financial stability throughout the 2023 season. “In addition to the wonderful backing we get from Crendon as team sponsors it will ensure we’re able to put the right riders on the right equipment to challenge for the Premiership title. “I’m also delighted to advise I’m applying to become a promoter along with Carl, which I’m delighted about as we have forged a great friendship in recent seasons. It’s an exciting move in the right direction to support the club and ensure we make a significant difference. “I have a terrific relationship with Buster (Keith Chapman – club owner), Dale (Allitt) and Carl, and I’m sure we will work well as one team building a future for the Peterborough Panthers! “I watched my first speedway meeting in 1975 as a young boy in the ‘good old days’ of Brian Clark, Ken Matthews and Roy Carter, and I loved it from the moment I watched my first race. “Although I now live in Northern Ireland with my wife Connie and boys, I have returned back to Peterborough to build a business empire of substantial standing which I’m very proud to lead. I also have my parents in Peterborough who attend every Panthers meeting so the blood line with speedway is well developed over many decades. “As a businessman I have many corporate partners including manufacturers, leasing companies and major dealer groups within the motor industry, and I’m going down that commercial route to bring in some more significant sponsorship for the Panthers. I want us to be very active commercially, it’s a major piece of the financial jigsaw for the development and future of the speedway club in Peterborough. “As far as the team is concerned, you can blame me for the late notification of riders due to all the exciting plans at the club which are now confirmed; however, we have a smashing line-up to be announced in the coming weeks, which includes some young sensational racers alongside some experienced well established riders, and I would ask for the supporters to vote by purchasing season tickets and attending our meetings throughout the season. “We know the team has changed dramatically from last year, but it’s an opportunity for a complete refresh and we want to make an impact and be in the play-offs - from there anything can happen. We want to bounce back from 2022 and go for gold in 2023!” Panthers expect to be in a position to issue more team news later this month. Their first official fixtures of the new season are against Ipswich in the Premiership, away at Foxhall on Thursday March 23 with the return at home on Monday March 27. club website Jan 20 why no mention of rob lyon I hope he’s still here this coming season won’t be impressed if he ain’t

Communication has been a problem for as long as I can remember, hence the dislike of forums & social media where such questions are raised and a slanging match starts all too often.

Iversen it is on 7.59, no great surprise to many of us but as Johnson says a proven heat leader and a genuine nice bloke to boot.
The question just remains as to is he the no 1 or are we getting someone else for that role.

Niels-Kristian Iversen is on his way back to Peterborough Panthers for the new Premiership season.
Iversen is Panthers’ fourth confirmed signing for 2023, re-joining the club after an absence of over a decade.
Iversen last rode for Panthers back in 2010, but ironically was lined up to return to the East of England Arena three years ago, appearing on press and practice day before the season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Last year he raced for A47 rivals King’s Lynn in the opening months of the campaign before being forced to quit the Stars due to regulations in Poland.
But with those rules now relaxed, he is free to compete in the UK throughout the year.
Panthers clearly now have some key decisions to take elsewhere in the line-up.
Five of their Premiership rivals have declared their full squads, with Ipswich – who are Panthers first competitive opponents on March 23 and March 27 – having two spots remaining with their side once again including the likes of Jason Doyle and Danny King.

Andersen is nailed on and as suspected Holder looks extremely likely as well, it’s just the last spot that everyone is not really positive about. To be nailed on for a real crack at the title we need a good heat leader at no 1 Bjerre, Thomsen, Pedersen etc but if we go down the Tungate, Worrall route then I think we will come up short, Worrall would be a crap signing in my opinion, the blokes a gating tart like his brother., but Tungate isn’t a lot better although good at home he is a poor traveller.

Should have retired after the last awful accident.

The difference between all of the hot air and delay being confirmed, compared to a WOW! moment (I'm not including Pedersen in that category because, despite what he was doing in Poland before he got banged up, he's too much of a risk and only going one way with his career). Much like Andersen in terms of career direction but at least he deserves his go, initially at least, for club service.

Those on BSF thinking him a good signing however are way off the mark. We need a genuine Number 1 and neither NKI or Holder fit the bill imo.

Pedersen comes across as between nice chap and arrogant arse. He has always kept himself very fit, with the help of Barbie. Which has undoubtedly helped his recoveries. I would not sign him, too much of a risk. In addition NKI and Holder (if true signing) have had serious injuries. I just can’t see where this genuine no 1 could come from. Pole’s always seem to struggle with UK tracks - and Vaculik lasted a few laps.

We certainly need a genuine no 1 if the club want any chance of winning something this year, I think everyone recognises that but it sounds like they have tried a lot of riders and not met with too much response. I do hope we are not going to drag this out for another three weeks

Not hearing much of Rob Lyon recently!! Hope he is still team manager. Best in business imo Riders win matches though. Even he couldn't polish one last year and 2021 picked itself for the vast majority of the time. He's still named on the club page as manager so as that has been updated one assumes that he's still in post? I've heard understandable issues mentioned a few times as a reason for our lack of outgoing information, perhaps it's something to do with Lyon?

PETERBOROUGH Speedway Season Tickets remain on sale in the build-up to the 2023 campaign. The Crendon Panthers’ opening meeting at the East of England Arena is now under two months away, with Ipswich providing the opposition in a Premiership fixture on Monday March 27. Meanwhile home matches in April feature visits from league newcomers Leicester, including former Panthers favourite Chris Harris, and reigning champions Belle Vue who have British Champion and GP star Dan Bewley back in their ranks. Season tickets offer a significant discount on the cost of attending all fixtures individually, and are interchangeable between family and friends if you have to miss a meeting. They cover all 12 home Premiership meetings plus one KO Cup match, with Panthers having a bye to the semi-finals and awaiting the winners of the Ipswich/Leicester tie. Priced at £260 (adults) and £234 (concessions), season tickets include a programme for each meeting and free parking in the main car park. Child season tickets are available for £50 (not including programme). Season ticket holders will also be given the opportunity to watch three races from the centre-green by prior arrangement. Application forms and further details are available from seasontickets@peterborough-speedway.com . I find this post on Peterborough Panthers Facebook and the official website absolutely un-be-lievable!!! The words ‘the opening meeting now under 2 months away’ and ‘ PETERBOROUGH Speedway Season Tickets remain on sale’ really are taking the P. We are still three riders short
