Why do so called activists think that this gives them a freehand for hooliganism and vandalism? Their behaviour emphasises my view that there is no such thing as a peaceful protest.

Bit confused about activists and protestors: If they have the right to prevent me going into my Bank, stopping me entering a petrol station, do I not have the same right to prevent them doing so? Equally if they think they have the right to deface a building and dig up lawns at colleges surely by the same token if I do not agree with them it is ok to deface their houses and dig up their lawns. However they claim to feel intimidated if anybody confronts them.

That's what happens when they treat these morons as victim and sympathise with them. Once they get their inch & they realise that they are given the benefit of doubt without consequences then the battle is lost. A bigger problem is that a whole generation is entering society who don't understand the societal rules as we've known them or that your view isn't always right, others may disagree and you may have to accept defeat.
