Though not a churchgoer my Mother was an Irish Catholic and some things from Childhood stay with you forever so yesterday I went to local RC Church to light Candles in memory of friends and family no longer with us. Shocked to see the only offering were Tea Lights. Suspect they had gone out and memories faded by the time I got hom

Don't know anything about this personally but times change unfortunately, rarely for the good, and that must be disappointing. A tea-light should last for 8 hours though. How much would a traditional candle last? |

How much would a traditional candle last? As a child there were always a range of candles of various sizes available, they told you how much each one cost. Not sure how long a normal candle lasts ,suspect it depends on quality. These days it seems only tea lights and how much you pay is at your discretion. I lit 8 and donated £20 which I thought was fair. |
